Fraudulent billing at move out.I received a move out bill from the apartment complex with a breakdown of what is being charged. The company is erroneously charging a day of rent that was not honored. We were not given that day to remove our personal belongings and clean. My father was locked out the apartments while he was still trying to remove our items and also clean. Their negligence caused us to lose some expensive appliances we have not been able to replace.Desired SettlementI would like for the fees to be removed.Business Response The day that your keys were turned into our office was September 1, 2015. By turning in your keys this completed your move out and releasing possession of the apartment back to us. At this time we inspect the apartment for damages beyond normal wear and tear and then charge back to the resident accordingly.We have pictures documenting the damages to the apartment after you moved out and charged you accordingly.If you have any questions about the charges or want to see pictures we are happy to accommodate but this is the first we are hearing from you regarding this situation.Consumer Response We were locked out before we could finish taking our belongings out and the office demanded the keys. Due to not being allowed back in, we have had a loss of appliances when management did not allow to complete our day and they want to charge for a full day and other fees. The office did not do the exit inspection with us they just locked us out. We were not given ample time to move out in a satisfactory manner. I will not pay for charges that I did not incurr on my behalf. We were in process of moving out and cleaning when they locked us out and demanded keys. The company caused us the loss.Final Business Response I'm sorry but your balance due to us is correct and final. You were on a month to month lease. You gave us a 30 day notice that you were moving out. You turned in your keys on 9/1/15 which is what gave us possession of the apartment back. After 9/1/15 we inspected the apartment, trashed out what you left behind and then charged you accordingly based on the numerous damages that were in the apartment. Feel free and come into the office and we will show you the invoices that we incurred due to the damages you caused, which is what we charged you back for.
