RRRRRRUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!! IF YOU CAN RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! First, they will show you an apartment that looks very niceKeep in mind, this is only a SHOWROOMThey will not show you the unit you will be renting-they will give you excuses such as the tenant is still in there or they are still in the process of renovatingWe moved in because we were in a rush to find a placeWe received a page contract days before we were scheduled to move in; after they asked us to set up our insurance and utilities-not priorThey would not send the lease agreement without thisTHEIR LEASE MAKES YOU SIGN OFF ON THEIR RELEASE OF LIABILITY FOR MOLD 20+ TIMES!!!!!! This made us realize that we were in for a nightmare!!! We needed a place to live and had already paid our insurance for the year so we had no choice!
This place is not healthy for anyone to live atThe HVAC unit is EXTREMELY dirty!!!!!!!!! (see photos)We did not realize this until my son and husband started suffering from very frequent asthma attacks and I started suffering from severe allergiesWe cleaned it ourselves because the only thing the "maintenance" crew did was change the filter (with a very cheap one, we had to buy a new one)We had to fumigate and lay down boric acid ourselves because of the roachesThe "maintenance" crew drives around doing NOTHING but chattingThey had a slab leak, "maintenance" was driving by DAILY! The leak was not repaired until I brought it up (I have a construction background)The city came in and fixed itThey do not complete any plumbing repairsThey also do not replace the drywall they removed for the so called plumbing repairs they completedWe had our tub leaking into our garage-they opened the garage ceiling and left it like thatStill, the leak persistedWe noticed the leak was coming from the tub overflwe stopped taking baths to avoid the leakTHAT WAS THE ONLY SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM! Not to mention, the mess they left in the bathroom to make it look like they completed the repairs
Their lease states they do not allow restricted breeds (pitbulls, dobermans, huskies, etc), yet these dogs are everywhereThe tenants are outside their apartments proudly showing off their restricted breed dog to whoever is willing, including "management"One of our neighbors played loud music all day longThere are people living in the garagesParking is non-existingGangsters walking around at all timesSheriff cars drive by all the time-more often than not, they are rushing to a scene of a crimeThe best thing about renting here, and I mean this literally, is the train that passes by times a day with its blaring horn
Now that we have moved out-and left the apartment clean-they are trying to keep our deposit and stating that we owe them $for them to "renovate" the apartmentThe invoices they provided are not dated in any way and are very bad copies so they are hard to readWe are now stuck having to fight for our deposit back and to dispute additional charges to avoid bad creditThankfully we have a lot of photos-however, I do not see it as an easy fightWe are a family of 3, when they are a huge "management" company, but we are still going to fightWe signed a new lease and it was only pages long and NEVER mentioned any moldI regret ever signing the lease hereI am only writing this review to avoid anyone from doing the same
