After quoting this customer for a repair on his furnace, getting approval to move forward on the work and performing the repair a maintenance was also needed on the A/C. The maintenance was performed and completed. I then received a call that he found a part on the internet that was
priced less than the service and part combined cost. He also mentioned that after the maintenance there were some leaves left inside the A/C. I told the customer I would leave in minutes and was at his house in no time to inspect what was going on. I noticed a few leaves laying in the bottom of the unitI let him know that I would give his money back for the maintenance if that is what it would take to make him happy and we issued a full credit for that serviceIt costs far more than just the part to get a highly trained professional to replace a partOur prices follow national straight forward standard pricing which is used in thousands of dealers across the US. We are far less than the larger companies on the same repairs and our repairs come with a year parts and labor warranty. Our professional technicians are all background checked, drug tested and highly trained. We are sorry you were not 100% satisfied and we will strive to not let it happen again Here is a link from *** *** on what you should expect to pay Our price in right in there with the rest of the country and we are in a higher cost of living areahttps://www.angieslist.com/articles/how-much-does-common-furnace-repair-cost... Resolution: The customer agreed with my resolution when I was on site and the A/C cleaning was refunded in fullThere was never a mention of any problem with the service and replacement of the inducer The Inducer is a cost complaint After The Fact and we are in line with National Pricing standards as you can see from the *** *** article and most reputable contractors

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:The technician let me believe that $was the cost of the part and the service was included in the visit. If there was no intention to mislead, why he did not separate verbally or in writing how much was the part and how much was the laborThe same way he specify that the cost of cleaning the evaporator coil was a big job costing and was not covered in the service. It is important for the customer to make educated decisionTrust is an important matter in the relation between customer and supplier Why hiding from me the cost of the part and making look that the service was included Why hiding from me the part removed and showing me only the replacement part. Why not performing a sound service in the cleaning of the condensing unit (still have the pictures) and would like the Revdex.com to come and see it personally and charge for it Even the owner recognized that was not up to his standardWas the intention to abuse a senior citizen?Sincerely,

We did a general A/C maintenance on this attic mounted system The technician flushed the condensate drain and verified it was draining properly as part of the service days later the customer called and said there was a leak in his ceiling We dispatched a senior technician who
dug out the insulation and discovered the the drain had a home-made p-trap that had a cracks on the bottom of it The cracks were very old as you can see in the attached pictures You can tell they are old because of the build up of rust around the cracks The pile of rust underneath of the cracked p-trap indicated it had been leaking for a long time It appears the rust was partially sealing the cracks so it had leaked slow enough that it was not noticeable from underneath the ceiling This type of trap should never be in an attic system as they can freeze and crack As it was buried under the insulation the technician never noticed it, it just looked like all the other lengths of pipe that were buried Digging out all of the lengths of pipe under the insulation is not part of a tune up unless we are alerted to a particular problem We always take care of any problems or damage caused by our people but this was so obviously old damage and we felt we were not responsible This was stated to the customer by our service manager The customer is an insurance agent and he stated that he did not want to use his insurance because his rates may go up We do not want to fix something we did not cause regardless but we did give him a free service call and we fixed his leaking pipe at no charge This was done out of our dedication to customer service and in no way should have been misconstrued as an admission of guilt Our service team handled him right away but he wanted a call from me the owner to try to get a free fix I called the customer back only business days after his call during the busiest time of the year which is the best I could do at the time That was not fast enough and resulted in this complaint
