The next time our Service Department received any issues regarding the vehicle was on 2/23/2017. The odometer read 124,150 on that date. The vehicle was brought to our service department for a scheduled oil change service by young lady by the name of [redacted]. At drop-off [redacted] mentioned a check engine light, gas gauge inoperable, and auto start inoperable. We told her an appointment would need to be set to address these issues and she said she was going to talk to her sales person. Customer picked up the vehicle without setting a follow-up appointment to address the issues mentioned. I went in and bought a Tundra at Parker Toyota. The Salesman put me in touch with the guy in charge of Accessories, [redacted], and I purchased a number of accessories including a Supercharger. I was asked to put $1,000 down, which I was told would be refunded to my Credit Card upon the receipt of the check from my bank. Some of the other options I purchased were Weathertech floor mats and a taneau cover. I took the truck in to have some of the options installed and was told the Supercharger was on its way from Toyota. When I picked up the truck I noticed that the Weathertech mats just didn't look right. [redacted] advised me to give them some time to lay down. I called [redacted] several times about the Supercharger and he advised me every time that he would call me back which he never did. I finally got fed up, took the truck to Parker Toyota, asked about my $1,000 deposit, showed them that the taneau cover looked like it was painted by a Kindergarten class and that the Weathertech mats were obviously the wrong ones. I complained that [redacted] has never called me back as promised.
When I threatened legal action, I was finally told that my $1,000 dollars would be refunded immediately, the correct floor mats were installed and I was advised that the Supercharger was not available.
I made numerous attempts at getting in touch with the owner, [redacted]. His phone call returning is at the same level as [redacted]. When [redacted] did contact me, his response was " Bring the truck back and I will right you a check for it". After considering the facts, I felt this was a good solution as I would not trust there service as they can't see that they installed the wrong floor mats. I call [redacted]my back and told him that I was bringing the truck back and he immediately rescinded his offer. I tried contacting lawyers in Coeur D Alene, including my own, and was advised by 90% that they could not represent me as they were representing Parker Toyota or the Parker Family.
After long hours on the phone with parker Toyota,I was refunded the $1,000, the money for the non-existant Supercharger, the money for the Kindergarten painted Tonaeu cover. The dishonesty of this Toyota Dealer is overwhelming. Buyer beware.

Review: I bought a ford fusion 2008 from parker auto credit on jan 2014 when I bought the car asked for a carfax was told the printer was down . I asked the sales person if the car had been in any wrecks ? I was told know by him then asked the sales manager if the car had been an any wrecks was told no again I had bought a car from them before with a carfax so I trusted them. came to California went to trade the car in aug 2014 at the vw dealer to be told that the ford I bought was in a wreck in 2008 and 2009 .well that explains why the airbag on the front dash was not in tac which they new at he time of my buy and did a work order said all they had to do was glue in back down . after I found this out did some looking into things about what could and couldn't the dealer do . if you ask if a car has been wrecked they have to tell you the truth it is the law . if you don't ask they don't have to tell you .when I contacted parker I explained to the Gm manager he said what can we do to resolve this I explained to him I wanted a new car felt I was lied to and have already paid more then what the blue book on it is because it has been wrecked .first I told him I wanted all my money back he said well that is not going to happen . he offered to get me in to a new Toyota I said no thank u I want a jetta .he said ok we have a vw dealer ..I said ok so you guys will put the money down that the bank needs and give me some more money that I have already paid . so that is what I thought was going to happen .next thing I knew they were taking my ford trying to use my car as a trade in that is now worth not even close to blue book . Response:

Parker Auto Credit is not disputing the Car Fax report. We have offered [redacted] a fair price adjustment to compensate for the report. We have requested that she provide us contact info from a credible autobody or repair shop to determine if there is an airbag problem. She has not.

Review: I was a victim of the old drive and swap! I test drove and dealt on the limited model, the only model we even discussed and the only model I would ever purchase. We arrived late at the business, couldn't come up with a fair trade and purchase price. They told me they would try different banks the next morning. The next day we exchanged phone calls and texts, and the last number we came up with was just a touch too high. So I told than I'd wait on it because we were traveling the next day. Two days after we arrived they told me a price I was happy with and I told them I'd take it. After being there I found that I wanted the same limited model, just the better stereo, then they proceeded to tell me that I was not dealing on the limited model, but the lesser SR 5. Which we not once spoke about, they ran my credit and attached my name to the SR 5. When I found out, [redacted], the guy we were dealing with said they would take care of me and get me the correct one that I wanted. When it came in, and I wanted to pick it up,I told him that I want the same deal. He then proceeded to tell me that he couldn't do that same deal because we never did numbers on the limited model. I was lied too dozens of times and miss treated horribly. All in all, I never once spoke on the SR 5 and only dealt on the limited. They lied and tried to get me into a vehicle that I did not want behind my back. [redacted] changed his story so many times I caught him in a handful of lies. But when push came to shove he had to back track and say that they were only dealing with the lesser model which he knows is a lie! I only buy the top models in any vehicle I purchase. This place is as crooked as they come!Desired Settlement: The persons I was dealing with be fired, and the correct deal I was originally dealing on be followed through like I was told! The worst customer service I've ever heard of !

Mr [redacted] came into Parker Toyota to get pricing and payment information on a new Limited 4Runner. We provided him with the information and could not finalize a deal. We offered alternative options that were lower in price.

Thank You,

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9503763, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I filed a complaint about a month ago, claim # 9503763. The claim was closed before I could respond. My wife opened the response to my claim and never spoke of it to me. So I'm sending my rebutle. That is a horrible response from what [redacted] Toyota said to what I said about my complaint! Pretty easy way out by them, and not once did they address my complaint! I see that the person at [redacted], that handles the complaints, basically did not speak to [redacted] at [redacted], or ask him to see the texts and papers that were in play! They pretty much shoved this matter aside and did not address this matter one bit! I have not heard one thing from them wanting to straighten things out! I thought that I would hear from a manager or a consumer relations person! Not one phone call! Pretty low class business! This place,[redacted], lied to me and put me in an awful situation and made me feel horrible and never ever want to buy a vehicle again! This type of matter should never happen to anyone at any business! The customer service by [redacted] was horrible. He lied to me so many times, and changed his story at least 5 times that I can think of! The bad thing is, he's a family friend,he, [redacted], and his dad. [redacted] and [redacted] have been friends with my step grandpa and my step moms family for years and years, and still are! I spoke of this matter to him, my step grandpa, and he said that he couldn't believe that they, [redacted], would do this to me! Even being friends of the family, he, my step grandpa still told me to file this complaint! I would like to be treated like I treat my customers at my business! I won't say who I work for, but JD Power had rated my company best customer service 7 or 8 years running! If I treated my customers like I was treated by [redacted] Toyota, [redacted], we'd be out of business and I'd be fired! I can't imagine me doing this to someone! I wouldn't even think of treating customers this way!

Desired Settlement

For the deal that was agreed upon to be honored! For the dealership to accept that they are at fault with this situation. For the dealership to contact me and apologize for this horrible experience!

Regards,

I came to Parker Toyota to purchase a new car for the first time on my own. I am a single mom and I was lied to by my salesman, my credit was compromised and I had an $3000 charge added into my contract and finance guy refused to tell me what it was. When I went to the General Manager for help, he was aggressive, intimidating and threatened me on my way out!! I will never be back!!!

About a year ago I went into Parker to find a car. I sat down with them to see what I could afford. I was told my credit was decent, but I was still a risk. There were only two cars I could chose from. When sitting down with them, they told me buying the car would improve my credit, and I could come back in a year; if I made all my payments on time and get something more reasonably priced.

The car I chose had a flat tire, and I asked them about it.. "It just needs a little air." Few weeks later, I took the car in to a shop and there was a nail in that tire. Oh, and the battery continually died on me! I had to get jumped all the time. For the amount I was paying for that piece of sh**, I assumed parker would give me a battery. "We are not just going to give you a battery."

2005 Hyndai Sonata, blue booked for 6000. I owed 12,000.Interest rate 22%. They do not lower interest if you pay on time and they do not let you get another vehicle like they said.

Basically, I would tell anyone and everyone looking for a car... DO NOT GO TO PARKER TOYOTA; UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE UPSIDE DOWN WITH YOUR CAR.

Review: I was in need of a car because I drive a lot for my job and I work odd hours so public transportation was not an option. My mom had bought a car from Parker Toyota and her experience was less than pleasant, but I thought maybe if I went there it would be different. The salesman [redacted] was the guy I dealt with, and I thought he was nice enough and was honest with the information he gave me about the car I chose. I picked a Pontiac that would give me good gas mileage and it looked amazing, except for one chip in the paint on the hood that was easily fixable. I told him that I didn't have much for a down payment, and asked if I could pay half the down payment on the day I bought the car, and the other half on May 8th when I got my next paycheck. He said of course, but I would have to leave a check at the dealership for the amount of the down payment, but to write a note on the bottom of the check stating it was NOT to be cashed until the 8th of May. Well, low and behold, they cashed it the next day. I called them in a panic because that was my rent money they had just taken, and after sending proof that the check had cleared, my account manager [redacted] said that she would send a check for my money back the next day. Three days later, my promised check had not shown up. After spending hours calling everyone I could think of, [redacted] finally called me back. She told me that I would have to give them ANOTHER check dated for the 8th for my down payment before they would even consider sending me my money back. How convenient that she didn't tell me that in the first place. I told her that I didn't trust them with my money after the stunt they pulled, and she transferred me to someone named [redacted]. I pleaded my case, stating that I needed to pay my rent with the money they had wrongly taken. She was completely insensitive to my case and said I would have to deliver a check to them or I could not have my money back. I told her the same story I told the first lady. I did not trust them with my money because of what they had done, but I would have every intention of mailing them a check on the 8th of May with the other half of my down payment. Again, she said no. I was told that them cashing my check was an accident and it would not happen again if I sent them a new check. My question is this: How can I trust a dealership that "accidentally" cashes my check but refuses to help me out and give it back? I can't pay my rent now because of them, and no one so much as batted an eyelash when I was pleading with them to get my money back. If you value honesty and your hard earned money, this is not the dealership for you.Desired Settlement: I would like $900. That is the sum of my down payment ($600), plus damages. I find this to be a reasonable price, seeing as they not only took money that was supposed to be used for my rent, they were insensitive and turned a blind eye to the situation they put me in. This problem also put a blemish on my formerly perfect rental history, which could harm me in the long run.

my mother bought a car from there they ripped her off by selling her a car that has been wrecked twice. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. very disappointed with the experience

Review: I have been to Parker Toyota in Coeur d'Alene Idaho twice, and both times I have found several items listed on the window sticker and/or the NADA pricing guide they use to price the vehicles not to actually be on the vehicle. They are adding options to increase the supposed NADA value, and trick customers into paying a higher price. I first experienced it back in 2012 with a dodge truck. They listed that it had electronic seats, windows, locks, rear window and even 4 wheel drive when in fact the vehicle had none of these options. I assumed this was just human error and they offered to remove the items to get a more fair price. My recent dealing with them is actually much worse. I have emailed them several times to get the pictures/features of the trailer, which took over a week to get. When I got the NADA pricing break down, the dealer added several items that are either not supposed to be added to the price according to NADA, or the inflate the items actual size/capacity etc. For instance, NADAGuides.com specifically lists to not add "Microwave, monitor panel, air conditioner, awning, AM/FM cassette stereo" to generate the NADA price....all of which are included in the list to inflate the price. The dealer also added a 5kw generator to the price adding $1400 to the price, when in fact the trailer has a 4kw champion aftermarket generator that cost $300 new at any local store. When brought to there attention, they refused to remove these items in their pricing guide. On their sheet, the list that the awning is 20-22 ft, when in fact it is a 14 ft awning. Not to mention the fact that they are trying to sell this trailer with an asking price of 2k over their inflated NADA price. They offered me a "sale" price of only 1k over the inflated NADA price. I also sent them several examples of other exact make/model/year for sale at other lots. The other lots had a list price of $5,800 where Parkers list price is $11,995. The CORRECT NADA price for this trailer gives it an average retail value of less than $7000, my "sale" price that was offered to me was $10,774 plus fees, and their website list price is $11,995. They are intentionally deceiving customers about the features of their vehicles to increase the book value and get customers to pay more. It is a very deceptive and unfair business practice.Desired Settlement: Accurately disclose the features off all vehicles on the company website.

Disclose accurate features and pricing to customers, and sell the vehicle within the NADA guides within reason. Not a 40% price increase over average retail sale price.

I am very interested in the trailer but I am not willing to pay $4,000 over the NADA price of $7,000.

Business

Response:

The NADA book is used to provide guidelines for establishing values on a variety of different vehicles including campers. The book is a guideline. Buying and selling vehicles is not an exact science and while some vehicles sell for book value others might sell for below or above book. Parker Toyota makes an effort to ensure that the guidlines are accurate when pricing vehicles. If mistakes are made we are more than happy to acknowledge them. The final price is determined by condition and the desirability of the product. The customer is free to research values and shop around to determine which vehicle at which price is right for them. If there are errors on this vehicle we will make corrections however based on the condition and the desirability of this camper our selling price is 10500 plus fees.

Revdex.com,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Parker is correct when they stated that nada books are used as a

price guideline. But when I brought the inconsistencies to the

pricing they used and the features that they added to the trailer

that did not actually exist, they refused to acknowledge or adjust

the price for such errors. I understand that the book price can be

high or low depending on the vehicle, but this town has 3 very very

large RV sellers, so RV’s are not in short supply nor do they sell

for 40% above book like Parker was trying to command. I sent Parker

examples of other sellers selling the exact same trailer for 5-6k

less, and again Parker refused to acknowledge them. I ended up

purchasing a trailer that was 4 years newer, 2 feet longer, and a

higher quality brand than what Parker was offering. That should

clearly illustrate how out of line Parkers pricing was for their trailer, and

yet they continue to ignore these facts and would rather try and take

advantage of their unsuspecting customers.

Regards,

My husband and I went into Parker Toyota to look at a specific vehicle well within our price range. We had a lot of negative equity in our current vehicle but had significant down payment to cover all of the negative equity and decent enough credit to get a good rate. After sitting there for 4 hours we were told they approved us for a 66 month loan for $670 per month. It was a $24,000 vehicle with $8500 cash down...you can see our concern. We told them we knew they could do a lot better than that and left with them saying they would call us in a couple of days as this was Saturday and they needed to wait until Monday to talk to specific people at the banks. We heard back Monday eve about 6 and our salesman proceeded to advise us that he could get us approved without our trade and to just take our current vehicle, our trade, back to the lender and have them repossess it. Now, as I understand it, this is ILLEGAL for a car dealer advise or tell anyone to do. We will never do business with Parker Toyota again and advise anyone else out there DO NOT DO BUSSINESS WITH PARKER TOYOTA either. There's something not right going on there.
We purchased the same make, model, year, price of another vehicle with the same trade and down and got our payment lower than we asked for with warranty and gap insurance through another dealer who was honest, upfront and it only took 2 hours from the start of the test drive to signing papers. Parker Toyota is very schetchy and dishonest. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE TO BUY A VEHICLE OR FOR PARTS AND SERVICE, NOT PARKER TOYOTA!!!

Review: 4 days after I had the car there was an oil leak. I called the guy I bought it from. He could not help me. He put me through to the sales manager by the name [redacted]. He told me there is a $100 deposit, I said I've had the car 4 days and I didn't have to pay a dime. He then told me to do a voluntary repo if I was not happy, I hung up.

On may 23 I went in to make a payment a month early because I am tired of paying high interest. The gals told me to do so to avoid the rate. I did so and was charged anyway, when I asked why, a different gal said it didn't matter, I am charged between payments. In my frustration I was sent to [redacted] who was busy at the time, so I was venting to a salesman respectfully and he told me to leave. I said what kind of customer service is this, his next response was [redacted] off.

They have been stressing and causing me grief for almost 2 years, I've had enough.

Never missed a payment and always paid early.Desired Settlement: They need to stop lying and cussing at folks who want answers. I would like an apology in writing from [redacted] F and the fella that told me to F off.

Review: I have bought two cars from Parker Toyota. When I bought the first car from their Auto Credit Program. They told me I could come back in a year and get a more reasonably priced car. At the time I was paying almost $9000 dollars for a 1998 Ford Escort. They were very reluctant but I finally got into a bigger car, although I'm now paying over $12000 dollars for a 2004 PT Cruiser that's worth at most $6000. 3 days after buying the first car it wouldn't start. I find out after having it towed to them that the timing belt tensioner was bad. After waiting a week I finally get my car back. A couple of months later the car dies again. After having it towed to them they tell me that the engine is destroyed. It was a non interference motor and they just worked on the timing. I think that's why they didn't charge me for replacing the motor. There was no reason why it should have broke. I go back a year into my loan and as I stated they got me into a new car, but they were reluctant and I ended up owing them more money than before. A week into having the second car which I bought on Memorial Day I notice the tires aren't wearing right. Turns out the inner tie rods are destroyed and as a result ruined the front tires, and the back tire had a slash in it. It ended up costing me $1000 dollars to have everything fixed. I tried going back to Parker Toyota as they told me I had a 30 day warranty. That was when I found out that the parts weren't really covered under they warranty. But they said they can try and get it covered. With my past experiences with them. I just decided to have [redacted] do it. It took them a month to replace my motor, and I couldn't wait that long again. A month later I go to start my car and the battery is dead. I try to start it a few more times, and the key cylinder stops working. My car was stuck in Aux. I couldn't turn my radio off, or my car on. It has been utterly ridiculous. Buying a car from a dealer I would like to expect at least a year without anything but maintenance.Desired Settlement: Have my loan retracted to a reasonable amount, or get the money to pay off my debt at [redacted]. I really want everyone to know how they do business.

Business

Response:

The vehicle was under its 60 day and 3000 mile warranty and the inner tire rods would have been covered if the customer would have brought the vehicle to us. If he brings in the receipts from [redacted] we will credit his loan balance.

Thank You,

Parker Toyota
