Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/10/16) */
Regarding the above complaint, Mr*** provided some of the main facts, but failed to highlight some relevant and important details
Mr*** called us at Parker Transmission & Gear during the week ending 9/25/inquiring about a
repair on his speed manual transmission in a Dodge pickup with a camper shellI quoted him a price based on his description of the problems, and he said that he would give us a call regarding repairswe set up an appointment for him to drop the truck at the shop on 9/25/at which time he would secure his camper and return the following Friday after repairs were done
Arriving at the shop at the appointed time, Mr*** still had the camper on the back of the pickupInstead of renting a storage space for a week for the camper, I made arrangements for him to store his camper at a nearby local shop for a minimal charge
Mr*** was informed of the extensive internal damage to the transmission during the following week, and given the option of a remanufactured transmission due to the cost of an extensive rebuild and the expediency involvedHe consented to the installation of the remanufactured transmission, he was told that the agreed upon date of pickup 10/2/was still attainable
After repairs were completed on 10/2/15, Mr*** was called and the truck was delivered and paid for ($2,with tax) the agreed price at the agreed time
On Monday 10/5/15, Mr*** called and informed of the subsequent breakdown of the truck over the weekendHe told us that he had already secured a shop close to his home for the additional repairs and asked if we would like to see pictures of the resulting damageI asked him to email the pictures, and I told him to keep me informed of the cost and that I would contact him after discussing the situation with the ownerI called the following day to tell him to get the truck fixed and send the pictures and let us know what else he might need
Mr*** called on 10/13/to say that all repairs were done (at no time did we receive an estimate for repairs or get the pictures of the damage), and I was given a verbal estimate of costsI asked Mr*** if he could forward a copy of the pictures and any repair costs associated with the repair to us via email
At 11:17am on 10/14/15, Mr*** forward the documents requested and asked for confirmation of payment "in the next day or so" through either a *** credit card or checkI sent a return email at 3:57pm on 10/15/confirming that a check totaling $1,(not $1,as stated) was sent via US mail
I am confused at the basis of Mr*** complaint, because we responded promptly to all calls and emails, did not question any of his requests and kept in constant contact throughout this processWe can provide all correspondence confirming dates and times as well as a copy of the checkAgain, we apologize for any inconvenience that we have caused and hope this matter is resolved
