Parker's has been taking care of our HVAC needs for over 20 years. I had Parkers Heating and Air Americus Georgia come out to fix my heat pump which was installed in March 2016. The technician said that a duL capacitor was bad so he replaced it. Like I said the unit is only 3 1/2 years old and has a 10 year parts and 10 year compressor warranty. When I received the bill he had written Dual capacitor $84 Diagnostic fee $69 and Mileage $14 for a total of $167. He wrote on the side of the bill "Part was under warranty but not labor."

I called Parkers because of the Dual capacitor $84 fee when this is a part and should be covered under my warranty. I was told that the $84 for the capacitor was the labor to install it. This is a part that cost no more than $50 most anywhere. I really believe the $84 was what they charged for this part but they just decided that they would list it as a labor charge. To me a diagnostic fee of $69 is terrible as it took him one minute to find the problem and then 15 minutes to install it for a fee of $84 so in other words the whole bill was labor charges. . Absolutely insane. I told Parkers I would never use them again.
