of repairs or service to Mz [redacted]' parking lift associated with her purchase of her Aloft Condo.Ms [redacted] contacted us earlier this year to request repairs and service for her parking lift. She requested, and we sent her a blank service authorization form. She returned the executed form for the repair. (attached). Our technician traveled to Aloft, and met with Ms [redacted] to discus the repair. He advised her of the the need to raise the lift to gain access to the cross channel where the leaking hydraulic line was located. Our technician raised the lift, and repaired the leaking hydraulic line.  He also made adjustments to the lift. We subsequently sent the invoice for our technicians' time as noted on the tracking device for the time spent at the Aloft garage.Ms [redacted] responded to our invoice with her notion that she expected us to travel to aloft from our shop in Anaheim, and perform repairs to her lift free of charge. We committed, and we intend to send her the key blank for her lift operator upon receipt of the payment for the service she authorized, and we performed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.While I did sign an authorization for repair, the assumption that the service would be performed for free is based on the fact that the first repair on the lift was not executed properly which is why there was a leak that required an additional repair. Therefore, I thought this company stood behind its service and wanted to correct what wasn't originally corrected. That was not the case. Nor was this repair corrected before I closed escrow as had been promised. In other words, I purchased a home with a broken lift and was told it would be repaired before I closed escrow. That did not happen. Then, someone performed a repair after I closed escrow, but did not repair the leak. Therefore, in the end, even though I was not responsible for the repair, I had to pay for it. In addition, the terms of the authorization I signed stated I would be charged $88 for one hour of travel and $88 of one hour of inspection. Instead, I was charged $418.00 because after the mechanic inspected the lift, he decided to go forward with repairing it without first getting my okay to do so. In any business I have ever dealt with, an estimate is first given to the customer so that they can decide whether or not they want to proceed with the cost of repair. I was given no estimate or opportunity to decline going forward with the repair. I told the owner that this caused a financial hardship for me and he could care less because he is solely interested in profit instead of customer service. I have paid the bill, but I stand behind my statement that the owner of this company does not conduct ethical business agreements.
