The computer would not power on when [redacted] brought it to meI diagnosed it to be the "power supply"...I proceeded to clean the inside of the computer out of a lot of dirt and dust, including the original power supply, reseated the fan, RAM, and hard drive, and then replaced the power supply unit It powered onWhen I let [redacted] know that it was the power supply she immediately stated her husband didn't want to fix it, that they have put too much money into itI was fine with that (it’s the nature of the way I do business, most people fix it, some people just use my business for a free diagnosis)I said give me a chance to take my power supply out and put yours back inAfter putting their power supply in it started! Of course I wasn't going to charge them for the part but when I explained that it was now working and it must have been something I did in the process of diagnosing it that has fixed it (ie, reseating hardware, cleaning fans and inside pc) and could I talk with your husband, since it seemed like he was making the decisions, to talk about his options and she said "yes"; that was the last I heard until this morning when I received this complaintThe dispute is for $145, I was actually considering charging $to give them back a working computer buthadn’t received a phone call to explain thatPlease let me know how I can resolve thisThank You!
