Parkside Pediatrics Reviews (2)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint After three different discussions with the ParkSide Billing Department, we still do not have a clear answer as to why the visit in question was coded as intermediate We do not disagree that ParkSide uses the AMA procedural terminology, it is the doctors discretion that determine which codes to select and that is the problem Again, we've asked many times for how one justifies an intermediate visit when no additional services were rendered (please see original complaint) For example, please tell me how checking my son's knee and hip and then saying "well it might this...if it doesn't get better we'll refer you to specialist..." warrants an intermediate billing code? The follow up made with our family was a voice mail left that simply stated that the coding stands as is, without an explanation We paid the bill because we did not want them to turn us into a collection agencyWe paid the bill but that does not mean are satisfied with the resolution of this matter Why does a 'gesture of good faith' ($refunded difference) only come after we contacted the Revdex.com ? We are contemplating raising this issue with the Attorney General as we feel like the billing practices are not fair for us and possibly not fair to other patients; this might warrant an independent third party review Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.
After three different discussions with the ParkSide Billing Department, we still do not...

have a clear answer as to why the visit in question was coded as intermediate.
We do not disagree that ParkSide  uses the AMA procedural terminology, it is the doctors discretion that determine which codes to select and that is the problem.
Again, we've asked many times for how one justifies an intermediate visit when no additional services were rendered (please see original complaint).  For example,
please tell me how checking my son's knee and hip and then saying "well it might this...if it doesn't get better we'll refer you to specialist..." warrants an intermediate billing code?
The follow up made with our family was a voice mail left that simply stated that the coding stands as is, without an explanation.
We paid the bill because we did not want them to turn us into a collection agency. We paid the bill but that does not mean are satisfied with the resolution of this matter.
Why does a 'gesture of good faith' ($20 refunded difference) only come after we contacted the Revdex.com  ?
We are contemplating raising this issue with the Attorney General as we feel like the billing practices are not fair for us and possibly not fair to other patients; this might warrant an independent third party review.
