Review: I called Parkway cleaners about cleaning a preserved, $5000 designer wedding dress that recently got water damage. I was told to drop the dress off and the owner would look at it to see if he could lessen the water marks and have it preserved again. One of the employees called and said the owner would clean it. I was called a week later to look at the cleaned dress before it would be sent to preserved (both services I was willing to pay for). When I came to look at the dress, it was hanging uncovered, out in the open at the cleaner. Upon inspecting the dress, I noticed blue markings on the top of it that were NOT there when I had dropped the dress off! When I started to look at the rest of my dress, I noticed several tears in the seams of the dress on the side that also were not there! I told the person working there about the damage and they said they would tell the owner and that he would call me that night. He did not so I called the store the next day and spoke to the manager, [redacted]. She told me that it wasn't possible that they got the blue markings on the dress and that the rips could be sewed. She did not take any responsibility for the damage, nor did she offer to fix it. I explained several times that while I understood that the water damage would not come out, there was no other damage on my dress when it was dropped off. She told me she would ask the owner to see if he would look at it again. [redacted] called back and told me that the owner would attempt to clean the blue spot but that I would have to pay $90 since it was now taking up so much of his time. I told [redacted] I that I should not be paying, seeing that they caused the damage. [redacted] then told me that they should never have taken the dress in the first place and that I wasn’t even “their customer”. She told me she would talk to the owner and call me back. I then received a message from [redacted] saying that the owner does not want to look at the dress again and that I need to come pick it up and leaveDesired Settlement: I am beyond frustrated and aggravated with the service of the business. I do not wish to hear from them. They should not accept anything that they are clearly not capable of cleaning or handling properly. It was also painfully obvious that their customer service is severely lacking of decency and accountability. What I thought could have been a resolution to lessen water marks to my dress ended up with them COMPLETELY RUINING it and being rude to me, to top it off. I have told many people about this experience and plan to continue spreading the word about their pitiful handling of my wedding dress.

Review: 2 brand new white Brooks Brothers pants ( with tags still on them) was given to the dry cleaners for laundering and ironing . The pants returned off white and one of them had a grey stain on it. These were pants for my son's graduation and very important to us.

I spoke with the cleaners and they asked that I sent them back and I did. After few days passed the manager left a message for me to call back. When I called she told me that when the pants arrived they were written as off white and I assured her that they were white. She would not agree with me. I have the receipt of those pants and am 100% sure that they were snow white and clean when I purchased them and sent them to the cleaners in a plastic cover.

I would like them to admit to their guilt and to refund me with my money for the purchase of the pants and the dry cleaning fee.

Thank you.

[redacted]Desired Settlement: admit to guilt and refund the purchase value of the 2 pants and the fee they charged for cleaning them.
