Review: On two occasions in the recent weeks, I dropped clothing off for cleaning at Parkway Cleaners on [redacted] in [redacted], Pa. When I picked up my first order, I dropped off the second. I put the first order in my closet with the bag still on. I did not check either order for quality until the day after I picked up the second order, when attempting to wear a shirt from the second order. Upon opening the second order of clothes, I noticed that all of the shirts were in poor shape. The backs had creases and the wrists were very wrinkled and twisted. One shirt in particular was in worse shape than the rest.

This particular shirt was wrinkled all around the bottom, the front and the tail. The sleeves were completely wrinkled. I believe I had rolled them up when I had last worn it. However, crease marks on the shoulder and back areas lead me to believe this shirt was "dry cleaned" in some form

I phoned the store and spoke with Manager A, the only supervisor/manager I dealt with that handled the situation professionally. Manager A told me to bring the shirts in and they would try again. Manager A also credited my account with some of the money I had paid. After taking the shirts there, I went home and checked the first order. The shirts were poorly done, but nothing I would have complained about. The cashmere sweater, unfortunately had been shrunk.

I called the store and spoke with Manager A again, and I was informed that they would pay for the sweater if I brought it in. When I came in, Manager A told me she would send it to the owner for inspection. This was unacceptable to me. After paying more than I ever have for dry cleaning, I received a shirt that in Manager A's own words "Looked like it had been slept in." I was insulted by the insinuation that I may be lying about the fact that the sweater had shrunk. Manager A informed me they would write me a check, which they did. I told them I did not remember the exact price I paid, but I believed that amount to be around $150 and $175. They gave me $200 to compensate me for my time.

When finally picking up the clothing that was redone, I gave them a quick look in the store and saw no wrinkles. When I arrived home and removed the bag, I noticed light colored stains on the collar and upper back. I went immediately to the store and asked for the money that was credited to my account be refunded to me instead.

This was the first time Manager B laughed at me or something I said. He then said he could not do that, and upon hearing that I asked him to call the owner or someone that could. Twice in my visits I heard an employee say or was told by an employee that the owner would not come down to the store for this matter. The first time, an employee suggested to Manager A that they call the owner. Manager A said that the owner would not come down. The second time was when Manager B laughed at my request to speak with the owner. His reason being that the owner already paid for my sweater and gave me $50 for my time. I told Manager B that the sweater costs $250 and to look it up. Manager B then laughed again, and said he did and it was $80.

This particular sweater is on clearance at [redacted], but this point is moot. They did not have my size, a tall size, and it was not on clearance when I purchased it. I was also fairly certain they were not going to order or buy one for me since they already had issued me a check. This is when I left the store and decided to file a complaint.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for my two payments to Parkway Cleaners. Services were not fully completed on either transaction. Attempts to perform services again were unsuccessful. I would also like an apology for the poor customer service of Manager B and for my time wasted, which I value at more than $50.
