While investigating this account for possible fraud, Velocity reached out to the seller/creditor of this account, who was unresponsive and did not provide further documentation when requestedDue to this, Velocity has decided to close this accountVelocity is a non-reporting agency and has never had any contact with the credit bureaus

Velocity has contacted its agency Galaxy who is currently managing the consumer's account to send a full validation package to the consumer, and make contact with the consumer to ensure the protection of all ongoing payments and to answer any outstanding questions the consumer may have regarding their account

Velocity never received the verification request from our 3rd party However, due to the complaint filed here, the verification was sent out, and should be received soon

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: It is the company Velocity Investment, LLC that filed the Civil Judgement againts me to the [redacted] District Court and only their company can clear or remove this account The account was a fraud and the original creditor cleared me from this accountIt has been a month when I called and spoke to [redacted] (Customer Service Representative) and she told me from the initial conversation that she will take of it and will take weeks for the whole processIt has been a month and haven't been resolved Regards, [redacted]

Velocity purchased this account from [redacted] on September 26, who in turn had purchased this account on August 29, 2013, from [redacted] who was spun off from [redacted] This account was charged off in June with a balance of $3, The account number is [redacted] and was originally opened by [redacted] on August 15, and had a last payment date of November 19, 2012.Immediately after purchasing this account Velocity referred this matter to [redacted] & Associates to collect Velocity had no direct contact with [redacted] [redacted] advises that Velocity has made threats Velocity hired a law firm local to [redacted] A law suit was in fact filed and is attached Velocity by and through [redacted] were and still are open any settlement efforts Neither Velocity or *** [redacted] have done anything wrong It is [redacted] who has not paid her billAttached are copies of the bills of sale, a copy of the statement of account and the complaint filed by [redacted] on Velocity’s behalf Any settlement inquiries should be made through [redacted] & Associates’ office at: [redacted] **Attorneys at Law [redacted] ** [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:Velocity and SRA Associates has not provided me with any written information of my account funds that are being paid. Santander is calling me for payment monthly through various collection agencies and legal subpoenas. SRA is stating Velocity bought my account from Santander but no one is providing me proof. I have paid over $to SRA/Velocity and will not pay another penny until proof of my account and harassment stops. At This Time My Account Should Show Paid In Full.

I am rejecting this response because:I called the Honolulu District Court today May 11,and I was told that they have not receive anything whatsoever from Velocity Investment, contrary to what they are saying.I have left numerous voice messages to the person in charge of this account,( ***) as a matter of fact I have left messages everyday for her to call me back but she has not returned my call.I did tell her before that I really need to have this matter taken care of

Velocity will send the consumer a validation notice to prove ownership of the account and will work with them in order to come to an an understanding and agreement

Velocity has since sent out a "Pay Notice Letter" notifying the consumer of the balance on the account. Velocity will also send out a letter of validation regarding any concerns the consumer may have to the legitimacy of Velocity

Velocity had been waiting for comment from the original creditor on this account. After communication between the original creditor and the consumer of this portfolio, the creditor has repurchased the portfolio from Velocity. This account is now closed in Velocity's office, and any

I can confirm that our attorney did in fact file a Non Hearing Motion to Vacate the Judgment on 5/4/16.  Because of the nature of the motion, it will typically take longer to complete.  The Judge still has to review the document, itself.
