For us to do this, we follow certain criteria set forth by the property owners....

Per the “Community Rules and Regulations” available online through the [redacted] website: 12: Parking is by permit decal and only in specified areas. Charges may apply for replacement of lost permits. Parking decals are non-transferable. Cars parked in unauthorized areas will be towed at the vehicle owner’s expense. Permits must be visible and displayed in the designated area. Vehicles, including bikes and motorcycles, must be kept in operating repair and must have current license plates if required by law. We may, at our discretion, remove any non-operating vehicles (including those with flat tires), and chard(sic) the expense to you.  These rules and regulations are provided to and apply to all residents. Your son’s decal was not visible and could not be verified at the time of the tow; however, we can understand the frustration associated with him possessing a parking decal in the vehicle. To reflect this, we provided your son with a tremendous discount (greater than 50%) on the tow away price. We don’t enter any vehicles unless the owner has provided permission. As there is a possibility that this vehicle can be all wheel drive, we took the extra precaution of loading the truck onto a dolly to tow it to the impound. (This can be verified by pictures taken from our surveillance system showing your sons truck arriving at the impound lot.) In summary, this was a valid private property tow. Our driver took the time and effort to use dolly wheels for the truck at no additional charge. Additionally, we provided a generous discount on the job pricing and only assessed $100 from your son. This amount covers only our costs incurred from the tow. We took all necessary precautions to ensure that no mechanical damage or alignment issues could arise as a result of the tow and will not be refunding, awarding or compensating any funds.
