Parrots and Company

I recently purchased a white bellied caique from this store as it had come highly recommended by friends, and the wrong bird was send home with me. There were two babies in the nest, and I picked out and put my name down for one only to discover that when I took it home a month later, it was in fact the other bird in the nest and mine had already been sent off with the other family. I called twice with proof that this was the wrong bird and was told I was wrong by two different people, only to go down and speak personally to the owner to have my problem acknowledged. She was very understanding and compensated me but I feel for an almost two thousand dollar investment there could have been more money refunded than what I was given. The bird is healthy and great, but I was still very upset such a careless mistake was made and the bands were not simply looked at to decipher the birds before they went home. The store assured me this was the first time in 35 years they had made this mistake, and although they did sell me a wonderful and healthy bird I do not think I will be doing business with them any longer.
