Dear Sir or Madam, The response from Parr's heating & Air is simply falseMy wife was asked to go into the house to turn the A/C on which she didShe immediately returned outside to the work area after turning on the Thermostat switchThere was insufficient time for the device to start producing cool air inside the house even if the tech had asked her to check if is was blowing cool air; which he did not.We have since been told by several independent HVAC professionals that any responsible HVAC technician would always check for himself that the A/C was working and that the check should be performed about ten minutes after restarting the Heat Pump. The response from Parr's Heating & Cooling is clearly inadequate and we expect compensationRegards, [redacted] ***

Customer called back a couple days later & said the unit was not working properlyOur technician set up an appointment to return to the house on July 3rd per customer’s requestThe technician found that the compressor was rattling due to a bad reversing valve & possibly a bad compressor as well. He suggested that the customer replace the compressor & the reversing valveThe customer asked for a price to replace bothOur technician called them back with a price & the customer said she would be in touch.A good service technician doesn’t have to enter a customer’s home to know if the unit is working properlyThe technician can check pressure & temperatures from the outside unit. We also value our customers opinions and when she said the air inside was cooler, our technician believed her. Owner *** ***Parr's Heating & Air LLC

Review: After replacing the capacitor in the heat pump the Parr technician failed to check that the A/C was producing a vent outlet temperature within equipment specifications.

When we returned home the Heap Pump was running but was not producing cool air. We immediately shut down the Heat Pump.

Several days later the technician returned and told us that running the Heat Pump for those eight or none hours resulted in damage to the compressor. He said the damage was caused by a faulty valve.

It is highly likely that the valve was already not functioning when the capacitor was replaced and that the technician would have discovered the problem had he simply confirmed that the Heat Pump was performing within specifications.Desired Settlement: Parrs Heating & Air Llc will pay us for the damage to the compressor estimated to be $1,300.
