This was to be the 3rd call back to repair the same thing that they were called for the first time.
On Aug 28,2019 Parsons was called because of issues with bathtub hot water knob some one was sent out to repair and it only lasted for about 2 days before the same issues were happening again .I once again placed a call to Parsons and they sent same person to repair the bath tub hot knob..at this time he also went on to taking the cold water handle off as well.the call for repair had noothing to do with cold waterand once again the hot water know was hastely repaired or was told it was repaired but was told that the drip was from the cold water which it was not from the cold water the cold water never dripped it was the hot water any way on the 6th of December I called for service letting them know I needed some one to come again because the leak was know longer just a drip it was a full stream of water ,now mind you this company advertises 24 hour service I was told It would have to be monday before any one could come out and it would be between the hours of 1 and 3 .Come 3 No one showed up so I called and they told me the plumber was busy on another job and would still be coming .At 6:30 I called back and was told plumber was know longer answering his phone but all other service techs had been sent to assist the plumberhe was still coming and in middle of conversation the lasy went on to act like she could know longer hear me on phone and hung up , she never bothered calling me back or any thing ...No one ever showed up mind you they advertise 24 hour service .9am this morning I called just wanting to know was my business know longer wanted and was told they were still busy with another job this makes 5 days of being brushed of by this company which I paid for a job to be done and its never been repaired properly .I also forgot to mention the second time they were called also had them repair the running commode which after they left I discovered it was still running and I called back and they sent same plumber back and what I found strange was since he supposedly repaired it the first time when he was called back why when he came back he came with a part to repair you would think he would of at least came to see why his prior work had failed that leaves me to believe he knew it was a tempory fix just like all of their work has been .He also went on to ask me to give him a review since they got paid $10 for every review they recieved so I helped them out by giving a review but honestly thats not something someone should ask for .Im very unsatisfied with the way this has been handled and I think the buyer should beware .I just want what I paid for to be repaired , repaired or my money back .Ive taken off work for 2 days for them to come and still no show now Im going to have to locate another plumber that has time and has good work ethics..

Desired Outcome

All I wanted was my issue to be repaired .

Ms.,
I am sorry we didn't meet your expectations. We followed policy and procedure by sending the same technician for the go back since he was the initial plumber that took the original call. After options were given and you chose to have the repair made our technician did the job and even fixed your toilet from running free of charge. When you called again and asked for a different technician to come and look at the issue I told you that particular technician was not on call and the technician you wished not to come was. Therefore scheduling you was at the mercy of the newly requested technicians schedule. Our plumbers schedules are set up days in advance. We attempted to get to you as soon as we could because we certainly wanted to get you taken care of as our customers are priority. Once we were able to finally get a spot open on that particular plumbers schedule you had already found another plumber and failed to let us know. I would love to find a resolution to this, once again I apologize for not meeting your expectations. We appreciate your positive review on google.

I beg your pardon you fixed nothing for free of charge I was charged $87 for a running toilet that is still running , you also failed to send me my receipt from that visit and a prior visit . You say your technicians are scheduled a week in advance well that may be so but then I will say it sounds like false advertising if your claiming 24 hour service because if you were really a 24 hour service I wouldnt have had to wait 5 days I couldnt have went ekse where which I did after it was very appearent my business was not wanted. You can try and sugar coat this all you want but you know and I know how unproffessional this was handled and at the prices your technician quoted me a price of $1000 to change outthe bath tub handle stems thank god I declined paying that much and yes I went with someone else and actually had the stems replaced and all new hard ware for less then any visit I had from your company . Why should I feel obligated to inform you I found some one else to do my repairs I gave you 5 days of my time and then you hung up in my face and never returned call and further more you wasnt even on time replying to this complaint against you that speaks for its self .All I now want is for everyone to be aware of this company because your price gouging and improperly repairing things just so you will recieve a call back .The person who did my repairssaid it was a wonder it even worked because your technician failed to put gasket on thats why it continued to leak .Then if you want to talk about sink repair itsnot even bolted down correctly .So when any one says Parsons Plumbing I say No thank you they are a complete rip off Buyer BEWARE

Ms.,
The reason you had to wait several days is because you refused to allow the other 2 technicians to come over and make the repair, therefore we were at the mercy of one technicians schedule. We are most definitely a 24 hour service, but like we said before, one of the technicians you refused to see was the technician on 24 hour call that week (they rotate weekly). I am still very sorry you think I am sugar coating because I certainly am not, I was just reaching out to you to find a resolve, which it is very apparent at this point you do not wish. So once again, I am sorry you feel this way about our company and our prices. We are very blessed with great customers who appreciate all of our technicians and don't mind our prices. Thank you for your feed back, although it is negative it does allow us room to grow and learn. All feedback is welcome. Have a blessed day and new year.

Wish I could give a -10. Parsons' enacted on us what can only be called a scam. They quoted us right under two thousand dollars to fix both the toilets, replace the shower knobs, and fix a water leak. They never could find the water leak. STILL CHARGED US THE SAME AMOUNT. Keep in mind that we provided the toilet they replaced, the knobs they replaced and the fill valve and corky to fix the other toilet. When we pointed out to them that they did not fix the water leak so the bill should be less they took $25 off. Let me repeat that again: $25 off. Anyone with half a brain can see that they over charged us. We had to hire another plumber. He was able to find the leak in under and hour and fix it! And for under a thousand dollars. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. NO INTEGRITY WHAT SO EVER!!

On December 5,2017 Parson's company was contacted. The shower and the washer were backed up. After they checked things out we were given the price .
After the technicians had been outside and one checking the shower and other places inside then the technician requested 331.34 for their services which was paid via Discover card and that there no guarantees.A copy of the invoice was sent via email. We were told that we would need a new sewer line and they would return the following week to give an estimate for a new sewer line.Fortunately he did not return as promised.During January the shower began to drain into the dishwasher. On March 12th the kitchen sink backed up and that night Parson.s was contacted via the answering service. On March 13th they were contacted again. A technician came out and again said no guarantees but additional monies might be required and he was firmly told that no additional monies would be paid.He used his camera this time and said it wasn't as he thought and perhaps he could repair the sewer line. Parson's was contacted the following morning March 14th and asked not to return because it was evident that they were not resolving the problem.

Desired Outcome

We would like a full or partial refund since the problem was not resolved and the company was over paid for an incorrect diagnoses.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We always welcome it, good or bad, so that we may continue to progress and be better in the future. The invoice, # XXXXX, from 12/5/17 does show that our technician performed a camera inspection after clearing the line that day. During this inspection, he found a root infestation, as noted on the invoice and shown in the video recording dated 12/5/17. After reviewing the video, it can be said with certainty that the technician made a proper diagnosis. The invoice does also state that we planned to return to locate the path of the sewer line so we could provide an accurate quote for replacement, which we failed to do. There is no excuse for it and we apologize for our mistake. Though there was no additional charge on the invoice for us to have returned and located the line, we understand it reflects poorly upon us as a company and will use the knowledge of this event to ensure it does not continue to happen going forward. A partial refund will be issued for the lack of follow-through by our team and any inconvenience it may have caused.

If we may, we'd also like to offer a little insight that we have learned from our experience in the plumbing industry. The technician was correct to say there could be no warranty for clearing the sewer line due to the root infestation throughout the line. Roots, by nature, will grow towards a water source and once they break into a sewer line, they will always return unless the broken portion of pipe is replaced. Because of roots inevitably growing back into a line, any line cleared that is found to have a root infestation receives no warranty for the work completed. A line with a root infestation, even when properly cleared, may not stop up again for a year or so, but it's possible that it will stop up again the following week or even sooner. This is why no warranty can be offered when roots are present. It is also because of this that our technician mentioned a possible sewer line replacement. Replacement would prevent the need to repeatedly have the line cleared. Even if only the portion that is currently broken/cracked were to be replaced, regular stoppages would be eliminated until more breaks/cracks appeared.

Thank you once again for your feedback. We hope you feel that we have offered a satisfactory resolution along with a clear view of our perspective. We value all of our customers and their opinions of the work we do. We hope you have a wonderful and blessed day.

Customer Response • Apr 08, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Parsons Plumbing misdiagnosed the problem and there were no roots found in the line.According to the technician when he returned on March 13th seemingly there were no roots and he might be able to fix the problem after all . Nor was a line replacement of the sewer lateral required. As stated earlier the shower began draining into the dishwasher in January and we had to discontinue it use because of unsanitary conditions and that posed a health hazard. The kitchen sink which had not been impacted earlier backed up on March 12th along with the washing machine and the shower again. So one can see that the problem was misdiagnosed never repaired but whatever was done made matters worse.

We apologize once again for the confusion. It seems a terrible miscommunication must have occurred between you and our technician at some point. Again, we apologize for this. As the hired professionals, it is our duty to ensure we communicate clearly and that what we explain is understood by our customer. We strive to educate our customers when possible so that they are better equipped in the future. While this is a positive thing the vast majority of the time, it has apparently been a negative in this particular situation as our technician seems not to have done so effectively.

Links to the invoices from both 12/5/17 and 3/14/18 have been sent to the email address we have on file for you. When viewing the invoice, you may click on the "View Attachments" button at the top of the video. The attachments are videos and a picture, all taken during the two camera inspections performed, one on 12/5/17 and the other on 3/14/18. These show there are roots that have penetrated the sewer line. The videos were date- and time-stamped at the time of recording. We have matched these times up with the time frame on our schedule that the technician was at your home, so we are 100% sure these documents are showing the inside of your sewer line.

Thank you once again. We look forward to receiving your response in this matter. Have a wonderful and blessed day.
