This is the response sent to *** & *** ***, since her complaint to the Revdex.com was more specific, some parts have been modified to
respond
more specifically to this complaint.
I had an opportunity to speak with the crew I sent to your party and *** in my office.
I just wanted to address some of the concerns you mentioned
The video montage was reviewed
and it appears that the photographs and the music were used in the order that
you requested The digital photographs provided by *** *** and a
copy of the montage complete with title page in the exact order as the client requested
are available for review upon request. We would also request that *** ***
bring the original disc to our office for review. For best viewing, the montage should be started from the
menu page located in the beginning of the disc
The standard Greenscreen package
comes with a variety of backgrounds your guests can choose fromThe attendant
at the party could have easily provided only one choice if that was your
preferenceYou said you wanted only one choice offered. I am sorry that
that information was not given to the greenscreen attendant However, I do not see how
offering more than one choice negatively impacted the enjoyment of your party
*** spoke to you on WedJune *** to confirm the arrival times for the
photographer, during that conversation *** made you aware that *** would be taking
the formal shots at the *** in the morning, but we would be sending a different
photographer to take the zap shots at the catering ***l in the afternoon.
No objections were raised during that conversation. A duplicate copy of the photographs are on
a disc in our office and are available for review upon request. I did check the photos for quality and they
do not appear blurry in anyway
*** (our DJ) approached your daughter *** during a slow point in the party and asked her if she
would like him to initiate a game with her guestsShe agreed and a game
(We had already offered the games selected by you, so a game not
listed on your paperwork) was initiatedIt appeared that your guests enjoyed
the game that was offered
The balance due letter that was
originally sent to you reflected the balance due before you added the custom
photo album to your contract at an additional cost of $260.00. That
addition was made at your May *** appointmentSince that amount was not
included in your check I am assuming that you are no longer interested in
having Parties Alive provide an album.
6. Parties Alive did place a small amount of photographs of the *** party
on our *** page. This is standard procedure so as to share some photos with
family and friends of our clients. These were photographs of the party and guests and
not specifically of the minor childUpon *** & *** *** request, the photographs
were immediately removed from our *** page
Since we did provide all services contracted along with other considerations such
as payroll expenses for a large crew, I am unable to issue you a refund

The background color choices were also discussed at our meeting You asked *** what color backgrounds she wanted and then not only didn't give her what we discussed, but gave her every background she did NOT ask for
You are lying about all of these issues and you know it You also told me at the end of the party, after much discussion, that you would refund my money I asked you directly, How do I know you will refund my money if I give you my check today? It is unfortunate that [redacted] was not satisfied with our explanation.  We simply wanted to explain some of the issues that she mentioned in her complaint.  I feel that [redacted]'s refund request of a minimum of $1000.00 to be an excessive and unreasonable one.  Parties Alive still maintains that all services contracted for were provided.  I have burned a duplicate copy of the [redacted]'s photo montage and it will be mailed to the client today.   Since I see no mediation efforts on the part of the Revdex.com and this forum has turned into a he said she said situation this will be my last response to this complaint.  As stated in my original letter, if [redacted] wishes to discuss this situation further she can call the office to schedule and appointment.

Review: Be VERY weary of anything [redacted]) tells you he will do for you.

We hired [redacted], [redacted] of Parties Alive, for a DJ, an MC, an upgraded photographer and a PhotoBooth. We purchased an "upgraded" photography package from [redacted] which was a total ripoff!! He sent us a nasty, cranky photographer and then the day of the party, the photographer told us he was leaving early for another job. This cranky guy brought another photographer as soon as the party started. When I told [redacted], he pretended he knew nothing about the switch of photographers. I told [redacted] at the very least, he should refund some money and he finally agreed, telling me "he's a man of his word" and would send me a refund check. He then wrote some bs excuse in a letter he mailed to me, as to his secretary telling me the week before the party that there would be 2 different photographers. NOT TRUE!! If that was ever mentioned to me I would have said I paid extra for this upgraded photographer package and I want what I paid for!!

He promised my 13 year old Bat Mitzvah she could choose everything from games, backgrounds for photos from PhotoBooth and music. After [redacted] directly asked her what she wanted, she told him what she wanted and what she DID NOT want. Not only did he not do what he promised, he played games on the dance floor that she specifically asked him NOT to play. [redacted] asked my daughter what color backgrounds she wanted for the pictures from the PhotoBooth and she told him light pink, light purple, light blue and the ocean. He wrote all of this down in "his notes". What did we get? Golden dark yellow, a burgundy curtain and green bubbles for background. I asked the woman who was in charge of getting the digital pictures from the printer why the backgrounds are not what we asked for. She looked at her work order and she said there was no indication that there was any preference. Again, he didn't follow through with what he promised.

There was no introduction of her name before the video photo montage pics started. Totally messed that up!!!

He totally messed up our photo montage after we spent hours putting it together!! We numbered the pictures 1-63. We came back twice with the updated disc that we burned so each picture was numbered in chronological order. The pictures were so out of order chronologically, that he showed her life starting at age 2, then infant, age 1 ½ ,back to age 4, newborn, age 8, newborn,etc.

There were so many other problems with [redacted]-he misrepresents himself, his company and his services.

He also posted unauthorized pictures of our minor daughter on [redacted]. We did NOT give permission for him to have our pictures posted in this social media especially of our minor (13 y/o) daughter!

Since we had used [redacted] and Parties Alive in 2011, we trusted him and what he promised us. We even asked to use the same MC, [redacted]. [redacted] spent a lot of time on his cell phone outside. When he was on the dance floor, he was supposed to be engaging the teens to dance and have fun. I went up to the DJ and to [redacted] at least four different times to change the music because the teens were starting to scatter outside. They were standing by the dance floor wanting to dance, but they were not playing music for teens to dance to so the teens started to lose interest. The MC is responsible to keep the party going and get the teens engaged and having fun. That was not happening. We were so disappointed in [redacted], who we requested. He was very uninterested and it felt like he did not want to be there. The night before the party, [redacted] told me he started his own music company so I guess that's where his interests lie. Had [redacted] told us that [redacted] wasn't really MCing, I would have asked for someone else. Again, I trusted [redacted], but he disappointed again. He betrayed us in every way possible. This is a businessman? No, he lied about everything!Desired Settlement: We would like the minimum of $1,000 reimbursed to us for making the day of the party very stressful, sending a very unprofessional photographer who left ½ way through the day, messing up the photo montage, giving us the wrong backgrounds for the pictures at the PhotoBooth, not letting us know that [redacted] is no longer interested in MCing and then promising me that he would refund money to me since he's a "man of his word". We paid extra for this "upgraded" photographer and his "skill". The pictures are very unprofessional. All of the pictures that were taken of the candle lighting ceremony were blurry and had the screen of the Zap shots flashing in the background. Those moments are lost! The pictures are unusable!! The disappointment of spending hours working on putting together the photo montage and having to go back home and renumber the pictures only to have there be no mention of [redacted]'s name to introduce her before they started the montage. Then, all of the 63 pictures were so out of chronological order that the montage made no sense.
