Dear: Ms. [redacted], Re: Case Number [redacted] I am writing in response to a complaint you filed with the Revdex.com regarding your fraud claim dated August 9, 2017. First I would first like to restate the issue and then address each item in your letter. You stated that...

someone used your card without your "knowledge or authorization and left you with $[redacted]". When you came in to the branch on July 31, 2017 you told the staff member you spoke with, regarding the transactions you are now claiming as fraud, that you knew who took the money out of your account. You also stated that you just didn't know they used it that many times. The staff member blocked the card at that time to prevent anymore transactions from being authorized. You stated that you filed a fraud claim and were told that the "investigation would take four to six weeks". I spoke with our experienced branch manager and she assured me she tells members that the fraud department will be contacting them in a couple days to discuss the claim. So I don't know where you received the impression that an investigation would take four to six weeks. When the fraud specialist did make contact with you on August 15, 2017, she explained to you that debit cards are non-transferable. You may not allow others to use your card as this shifts th?? liability of any unauthorized transactions to the account holder (you) since you allowed them access to your account via your debit card. Once you have given your banking information to someone, you no longer have control over when and how they use that information. And we have no way of knowing when you did or did not authorize a transaction. You stated you gave Darnell P[redacted] permission to use your debit card in the past and his name is not only on transactions in the previous months but is on a transaction the same day and from the same vendor as one of the disputed transactions. One of the disputed transactions has the same person's name and vendor as other transactions that have been on your account since March 2017. I hope this answers your questions regarding this claim. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me directly at the phone numbers listed below. Best Regards,Patty H[redacted]
