I gave them $1700.00 for a Couch, Love seat and Recliner. -Couch/Love seat = $1000.000-Recliner = $500.00-Shipping for Recliner = $200.00Date of purchace May 03/14-Invoice-#338279 -Amount-$1500.00-Invoice-#338281-Amount-$200.00Total Amount $1700.00 Paid in Full They did not provide me with the Recliner after 4 months of waiting. So they said they will give me a refund. I had to provide receipts of my purchase, because they couldnt locate the paperwork. I sent copies on 2 different occasions only to be asked to send a 3rd copy. Finally I received a cheque, Cheque #012883 Dated: 26/07/2014 from Quartz Investments Inc. T/A Partners Furniture for the amount of $546.10 which is $153.90 less than the $700.00 I should have received. Called back to correct the issue, sent another copy of receipts to the accountant because the manager was away. Once again no cheque! Called again and got ahold of the manager, he asks for another copy, so I [redacted] called the B.B.B of Sask to address this issue[redacted]Desired Settlement$153.90 is what they owe me, I would like my refund.Business Response The salesperson who sold this set was new (no longer employed with us) and assumed there was a matching recliner for this set. I called the customer and informed him there was no exact match (after trying to find one in an exact fabric match) but would send one to him that was as close as possible. The original invoice stated $1700 for a sofa , love seat , and recliner (tax included). The retail price for the sofa and love seat is $1249 on its own (not on the invoice but was on the tag at time of sale)and the salesperson just gave the customer a "package" price for buying all three items (again the salesperson took it upon himself to do this and should never have). The price was based upon us shipping up a recliner for him @ no charge (which we did and then returned to stock because it wasn't satisfactory) . The chair wasn't up to his expectations so after we returned it to our stock and sent him a refund cheque for that amount . There were no "shipping charges" to be refunded. I know that the refund cheque sent to the customer of $546.10 was more than fair on our behalf because I honored a sizable discount still on the sofa and love seat alone . The customer received the sofa and love seat for less than $1000.00 before taxes which is a nice savings I am sure you will agree . I do have copies of the invoices the customer sent to my book keeper and on none of them does it show any costs of shipping . [redacted] . I know we aren't owing any money to Mr. Harrison and have already given more than a fair refund on this matter . And to explain the sending of the invoice copies more than once , we were in a transition of company ownership and did experience some bumps in the office area because of a complete staff changing. I did request a third copy from Mr. Harrison and it was because I didn't have a copy in my possession myself [redacted] . I only requested it because Mr. Harrison was saying that on his copies it stated that he paid for shipping and gave an amount to me of (I believe was $200). After getting the copy of the invoices I see there were NO shipping charges on them and that the $200 on the second invoice was to pay the balance on the original invoice of $1700 which had a $1500 deposit given , thus leaving a balance of $200. [redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The original sale of furniture was $1000 taxed in for a loveseat and couch. The recliner was $500 taxed in which was the original sale off the furniture on the first receipt not $1700. The chair they sent wasn't the same colour, wasn't even the same material. [redacted]. I want the remaining money owed, I have the receipts to prove my case [redacted] Final Business Response Business stands by their original response.
