Partners in Grime Reviews (45)

I most definitely do not recommend this company for cleaning services in Flagstaff. I, like the other two reviewers, have experienced similar complaints to theirs. And while [redacted], one of the owners, will try to reply to this with her standard, "We are a trusted company with many great client testimonials on [redacted]...." response and also blame the person making the complaint, I'm thinking that since I will be the 3rd person to experience the same thing as the others, it is actually a problem on the company's end and not the client/potential client's fault. Also, there are no client testimonials on [redacted]. They don’t have the review option available on their page.
So here's what happened. I called and scheduled an initial deep clean with Partners in Grime on 07/16/2014. On that day, I got a call from [redacted] saying that they would have to postpone our clean due to the fact that their van broke down and they were, as she was talking to me, waiting on towing service.
OK, that is totally fine. I understand that [redacted] happens. So, we rescheduled the clean for the following Saturday morning at 9 AM. On the morning of, when no one showed up by 9:30, I called [redacted] to ask what had happened. I called her at exactly 9:33 AM on July 19th and the call lasted 2 minutes. She proceeded to tell me that she had us down for Sunday morning, not Saturday. Although I know in my heart I would not have agreed to schedule for Sunday knowing that my in-laws were going to be coming to visit and I would not want cleaners to be in the house during, I still shrugged this off and chalked it up to miscommunication. I proceeded to tell [redacted] that I would text her and let her know if Sunday would work based on when my in-laws would be arriving.
And this is where I have everything that happened in screen shot proof on both my phone and computer, since I know this company will reply with some sort of excuse about trying to make it work with me, yadda yadda. If you want proof of our text exchange, feel free to email me at [redacted] and I will send the screenshots over.
I texted her at 9:42 AM on Saturday morning and said:
"Ok tomorrow works but can we do earlier?
[redacted]: What time do you want us there? As early as you want. 6am?
Me: I think 8 AM should be good!
[redacted]: We will be there. Thanks!
Me: See you then!
Then Sunday morning came and went with again, a no-show on Partners in Grime's behalf. At 8:29 AM, I texted [redacted] and asked, "You guys still planning on coming?"
There was no reply.
I also tried calling to see what was up at 9:17 AM, July 20, 2014. Again, no answer.
Then something interesting happened. About an hour later, I noticed a post on the Flagstaff Online Yardsale closed group on [redacted] wherein people can sell or get rid of items they no longer want or need. I saw a post from our very own [redacted] looking to sell a wall mounted bookshelf. Again, I have a screenshot of this post for proof. I found it interesting that this company had the time to get on a [redacted] group and attempt to sell a household item, but had no time to text or call me and let me know a reason for the no show.
This is when I actually found myself upset at the lack of common courtesy coming from Partner's in Grime. I proceeded to leave Partner's in Grime a comment on their [redacted] page which again, I have a screenshot of since they have since deleted my comment and blocked me from their [redacted] page. When I'm logged into my [redacted] account, I can't leave comments on their [redacted] posts anymore. But when I log into my husbands, I can. A very mature gesture on Partners in Grime's behalf.
I also left a comment on [redacted]'s post in the Online Yardsale group asking why she could post to the group but stand me up and not let me know what was going on. It was then that she finally decided to reply via text to me at 10:05 AM.
[redacted]: I apologize , terrible day yesterday car broke down. Only one we have. One of my chihuahuas is sick too. Not the norm for us. Just caught up in the trauma of our lives. If you need to find someone else we understand. Please don't judge us on this incident. We have a long track record of being timely and successful. Yesterday was the day the straw broke the camels back. Couldn't handle any more. Couldn't even get my baby to the vet because the van broke down. I have to reschedule the next couple days until we can get the van running again. I apologize again.
Me: Ok just shoot me a text once you guys have everything in order and are at a good place to reschedule.
[redacted]: That's amazing. You are a good person. Thank you so much for your understanding. Will do.
I tried to be reasonable after all, the illness of furpets pulls at my heartstrings. But now I see I was being treated just like the other reviewer, [redacted]., was when he said, "You will truly be soory for falling for all of the stories they have for not being able to work." In this case, it was just another story.
[redacted] texted me the next day, Monday the 21st at 8:15 AM and said,
Ok, we are putting ourselves back together and want to get you taken care of as quickly as we can. Will a visit Wednesday morning work? I apologize again for the lack of communication. As I said, that's not us. And won't happen again! Let me know if Wednesday morning will work! Thank you and happy Monday!
I decided not to text [redacted] back until I had at least met with a few other local cleaners to see if they would actually show up first and then decide if I would want to proceed with their services. I texted her back on Wednesday morning and told her some dates that would work for me and if we could instead, start with a consult, instead of the deep clean as I wanted to meet with a handful of other cleaners as well.
To which she replied: No thank you, we will pass. Best of luck.
In summary, not only had Partner's in Grime stood us up 3 different times on 3 different days but then after I tried to work with their unprofessionalism and excuses, giving them 2nd and 3rd chances, they decided to take the high road due to the fact that I wanted to meet with other cleaners as well! I'm not sure what they expected after all the turmoil they put my husband and I through, but in the end I'm sure it's for the best as, based on their track record with me and the other reviewers alone, they most likely wouldn't have shown up if we had rescheduled again anyway.
It's pathetic that I never even experienced their cleaning services as we never actually got to that point, that's how unprofessional they are. It’s funny because when I initially asked for referrals for a reliable cleaning service in Flagstaff to my [redacted] friends, no one recommended Partners in Grime. Yet, several other cleaning companies in town came up being mentioned several times like [redacted]. Goes to show that people know who the good companies are.
If you're looking into calling Partners in Grime, don't waste your time. Ironic that their business name is a play on Partners in Crime. They should actually just call it Partners in Crime instead due to how they treat prospective clients. Shame on you, [redacted].

We have been a customer of Partners in Grime for about a year now at both my home and my business office. Both are around 2000 sq. ft. Our experiences have always been extremely positive. I don't think we've ever had a misunderstanding or miscommunication, so I was surprised by some of the negative reviews posted here.

We always look forward to coming home after Partners in Grime has cleaned our house because it's always like unwrapping a present to have a house as sparkly clean as they get it.

Our office is also always nice and clean after Partners in Grime comes out. We've never had a single complaint, and really have nothing but good things to say about this company.

I've been using cleaning services for around 10 years at my house, and Partners In Grime are the best service that we've ever had. They're very professional and go above and beyond what they are paid for. They also have the charming habit of leaving little surprises for us from time to time, which is especially nice.

We love this company and can't recommend them strongly enough!

My house has not looked this good since I moved in!!! The attention to detail and intuitiveness about how they work is unmatched. I cannot thank Leann and Duva enough for their hard work and commitment to making me happy. My house is now a home. Partners in Grime....You have a customer here for life! If I could give it...I would give a 10 star rating!!!

[redacted] called us asking us to deep clean her home. She was unhappy with her prior housekeepers saying they were inconsistent and not doing a good job. We explained to her what Partners in Grime, when we come into your home to perform a deep clean, we leave it model home clean. We...

advised her to look at our website and [redacted] page so she would know what to expect. She stated that she had already done so and was excited for us to come. We scheduled a date for the deep clean, only to have that rescheduled by [redacted] due to an illness. This pushed the clean to having us do the cleaning while the [redacted] were out of town.  When I asked her how dirty the home was, and we discussed her needs a wants, we gave her a quote based off her description. The first day we went to perform the clean, we realized that the job was understated and would be much more work than anticipated. We chose to call [redacted] before starting to be sure we were on the same page. When I spoke with her and she told me that they spent 5 hours picking up before we came, I was shocked. I told her that it would take us much longer than anticipated and that we would need more money for the job, she stated she understood. I said that I think another $100 would be fair. [redacted] had no problem with that. She gave me her credit card info and we moved forward with the cleaning. In order to deep clean a home of this size, with this much clutter, a decision has to be made on where to centrally locate all the excess items a person collects. In this clean we carefully chose a spot in the garage that was easily accessible and visible for the clients to find there items. The [redacted] home was totally deep cleaned per our agreement with them, performing the duties that we indicated we would do, going above an beyond as we are a small business in a very competitive market. [redacted] claims that we attempted to contact his wife once, when in fact I have three texts that I sent to her asking for feedback upon their arrival home. One can understand a day to settle in, but when you make no contact with us for two weeks, including confirming that you do indeed want us to come back on the date left on the appointment card, looks to us like you were not interested in continuing using our services as we have had no contact with you at all. [redacted] feels that text or email is not the proper way to convey unhappiness but also never attempted to call us once to have a discussion with us. He waited two weeks to talk with us. On the morning of the date of the appt they did not confirm, [redacted], whom up to this point we have not had any contact with, started bombarding us with texts.  Although, he admits in his statement that he doesn't like to text. He accused of us of things such as not doing the deep clean, damaging property, moving furniture. We did our best to respond to his text, explaining to him what we had discussed with his wife on how we clean, and that she was in agreement with it. He continued to become more verbally aggressive and threatening via text, until we finally asked him to stop harassing us. This went on for 3 1/2 hours. We have all texts exchanged between us. I did in fact tell him I called my insurance company to report that a client claims we caused damage, but refused to tell us what it was.  We were advised to stop all communications with [redacted] at that point and let the claims adjuster handle it from there. Within two days, an adjuster was at the [redacted] home to go over their complaints with them.I received a call from the adjuster telling me that he had made a tour of [redacted]s home looking at the damage he claimed we caused and showing him the cleaning that he says we did not do. The adjuster told us that the home was dirty and reminded [redacted] that it had been 3 weeks since we had been there. With him working from home, two small kids and a huge German Shepard, that's enough to dirty any home in just a few days. [redacted] made wild claims of amounts of $5000-$10,000 worth of damage that we caused. The adjuster indicated to us that if there was to be any payment what he saw was a nick on the wall, and isn't really sure if it was there prior or actually caused by us. He was also treated very rudely by [redacted] during his visit. There is no refund due [redacted] as the work was performed. He has done a charge back on his credit card taking the payment he made directly out of our checking account. We have been waiting for 30 days so far and they claim they have 65 days to make a decision. These are the type of incidents make us wonder if the Revdex.com has our best interest in mind. Because its impossible it would seem for you to make a decision when you never saw the home. You are just receiving a complaint from a client who we never had contact with and it appears never looked at our work. It also seems there may have been a  miscommunication between [redacted] and [redacted] on what type of cleaning company we are. Here is a review that we received where we did the same kind of work and the response we received from that client:A five-star review for Partners in Grime! [redacted] and [redacted] worked diligently to transform a house into a home after our family recently moved to the area. This alone was a challenge considering the number of toys, extra furniture and my feng shui deficit. They answered my call late Saturday night and worked tirelessly cleaning, re-arranging, and sprucing up the space for 8 hours the next day, a Sunday. By the time they were done, the house was show-home ready for our family’s Thanksgiving holiday. I want to note [redacted] and [redacted]’s willingness to work until the task was complete and to my satisfaction. They moved furniture, washed windows, tidied up outside space of pine needles and leaves, buffed stainless steel appliances until they shone, detangled and organized cable chords, arranged lamps to work on light switches, and even changed light bulbs. They quoted a price and were willing to honor that, even though the task morphed into a two-day project. Because of the exceptional quality of this initial clean, along with their willingness to accommodate very specific requests graciously and without question, I intend to make them a part of my regular cleaning routine. This is a company operating at the highest standard of customer satisfaction.Any more references you need from our clients, they are more than happy to provide for you.

Deception. If you call for service be sure to have a penalty clause for failure to perform. No work was ever done because when Partners in Grime agreed to show up and do the cleaning they did not ever show up. We gave them three (3) chances to make it and now we are moving forward. I would never recommend this company for anything. The dupe you into believing they can and want the work but has never come to fruition. You will truly be soory for falling for all of the stories they have for not being able to work.

Attached is the police report indicating this clients charges as unfounded and with no merit. The case has been closed due to the items she claimed as stolen, being found in her home. This is a job that we started for a hoarder. We all agreed after meeting and walking through the house, that we...

would use the spare bedroom as a storage area while we cleaned the rest of the home. It was to be the last room cleaned, and the only room left that we were unable to clean due to this clients baseless claims of theft.  In the police report, she indicates that we owe her no more money or services, yet she indicated to you, the Revdex.com, that she needs $200 to complete the cleaning in this last bedroom. This again is just a long list of fabrications made against us, as well as slander. We performed two cleans, and then she accused us of theft, just days prior to the scheduled clean to finish the spare room. This client was in the home and in constant communication with us the entire time we cleaned. It was inevitable, if there was indeed a fuse box in this room, that we would have ever seen it, prior to putting anything extra into it, as it was full to begin with. If anyone caused this fuse box to be inaccessible it would be the client and her excessive amount of possessions for such a small home. Indeed the client is somewhat disabled but not to the point of not being able to work in her own home or from driving a motor vehicle. A month later after this case had been closed and found unfounded charges she went on to several buy sell trade sites in our area slandering us and our company. THIS was Friday August 8th 2014. WE advertise on these sites and with over 10,000 members she has caused us great harm including causing us to lose clients we had book off of this site but canceled after seeing her false accusations again accusing us of theft and overcharging her. This caused us to cancel some clients for the day to go back to the sheriffs office to report her behavior. She was very defiant and screaming at the deputy that she would not remove the post even after the deputy told her this case was closed and she was slandering our name and causing harm to our business. After several hours of potential clients reading these false statements we were able to have the admins remove them. We had every intention of finishing this job until she flaked out completely. We owe her nothing but feel she owes us an apology and to retract all her false statements. This complaint should be dismissed due to the evidence presented. We are taking legal action to recoup our losses. We keep our word and have never stolen a penny with many clients keys to their home and their credit card numbers on file. In closing and to be noted, this client contacted us three months prior to us working for her and asked us to hold a spot for her, which we did, until her SSD came through. We had raised our rates by $5 by the time she was ready, but still chose to honor the $25/hr rate for her. Also, since the case was closed, she has found the other items she claimed were stolen by us, in her home. And if needed, we have screen shots of the slander from 8/8/14, photos taken before and after the cleanings we performed, as well her positive reviews and ravings on how happy she was with us and our services. Thank you Partners in Grime.

Partners in grime are really sweet talking when they want your business. Both [redacted] and [redacted] are persuasive and convincing. Once they start cleaning they start cutting corners and particularly when its a vacation rental and you are not around they not do everything they promised. Once you start complaining they will start the delaying tactic where they will not come to clean or promise to clean and keep on postponing and never do it.
We will never recommend them and would advise staying away from them.

Deception. If you call for service be sure to have a penalty clause for failure to perform. We have been a customer of Partners in Grime for about a year now at both my home and my business office. Both are around 2000 sq. ft. Our experiences have always been extremely positive. I don't think we've ever had a misunderstanding or miscommunication, so I was surprised by some of the negative reviews posted here.

They're very professional and go above and beyond what they are paid for. They also have the charming habit of leaving little surprises for us from time to time, which is especially nice.

We love this company and can't recommend them strongly enough!

I am disgusted with this so called company! I hired them after a 45 min conversation disusing all the details of my home and needs. We scheduled out a time for service and on that day they text to say they were going to be late. No big deal until they never showed up. They did not answer their phone all weekend after no show no call. After a few weeks, I decided to try again. (As I was really impressed with their website and phone conversation). Once again I was impressed. They apologized and said they would take care of me. We scheduled out another service time. I text them the night before confirming the time. I left work to meet them at my home for them TO NEVER SHOW UP OR CALL AGAIN!! The first incident they blamed it on a medical issue. They advertise that they are accredited with the Revdex.com and THEY ARE NOT!

My house has not looked this good since I moved in!!! The attention to detail and intuitiveness about how they work is unmatched. I cannot thank Leann and Duva enough for their hard work and commitment to making me happy. My house is now a home. Partners in Grime....You have a customer here for life! We started working for ** after a last minute call for there sons wedding. We told them we normally do not service the area. They wanted a clean the same day of the wedding and to help them out we went and did the clean for them. They promised they had plenty of people to make it worth the 45 minute...

drive one way if we would clean and then start monthly service for them. That is over an hour drive round trip once a month for one hundred dollars. We did two cleans for them with no knew clients besides them. I indicated we were unsure as to this arrangement working and told them we were thinking of canceling service as it was so far for us without other client's out there. She asked us several times through text and phone to reconsider. We did another clean for them and it was a busy day and when we left we forgot to take  our money. She called and asked if we had forgotten our pay. We told her we did and would pick it up when we could. When we went to pick it up the total was 160 dollars with no note or instructions as to why the extra. We collected the money thinking it was a holiday tip or maybe offering us a little more to keep coming. She never had any questions about the extra funds until I informed her again it was to far for us to drive. I then received a complaint from you informing us we owed her sixty dollars. I believe when she was informed we would not be providing services anymore and that even more money would not charge our decision she became upset filing a false claim against us due to our decision. Thank you.

I have been a client of Partners in Grime for almost a year now and Love these guys! I dont know what I would do without them. They help me keep my life on track by taking care of the things I cant keep up with in my life. They do laundry, make beds, clean, clean, clean! They are honest, show integrity, and have never let me down! I highly recommend them to anyone who need the Best Cleaning Company out there!

Had set-up an appointment a month in advane have move-out cleaning done by Partners In Grime. They rescheduled my
appointment 3 times until it was scheduled for theday before landlords walk-through. Well, they didn't show up or answer any phone calls. So consequently I and my house guests spent Sunday cleaning.
I never heard from the Partners in Grime after that. Do not count on this business.

Wow! I totally relate to the complaints this company has gotten. Our credit card company is currently after them for $900. When we hired them to clean and paint our newly purchased home they said they would have it done by the time I drove down there as I currently live 2100 miles away. She also said she would send lots of pictures of their progress. I never did get one picture from her, even after multiple requests. On Thursday she called and talked to my husband saying they were done and wanted to be paid. He paid them over phone with credit card and she kept asking when I was to be showing up at the house. He told her the next Monday. After they hung up he told me that the credit card will be charged $900. I informed him that we had agreed on $800. So he called her back immediately and she said she would put $50 cash in the kitchen drawer for me. He agreed that would be ok.

I drove straight through as I was so excited to get to my new cleaned, freshly painted home and start shopping for furniture. I pulled in the yard Saturday morning, stepped on the deck only to find dog poop on it and in the yard. I looked in the living room window to see dog food, water bowl and dog toys all over the floor. Opening the door I see the place a disaster! The three bedrooms and living room weren't even near done. They had painted over the light switches, spilled paint on the carpet in every room, poured paint down my sink. The place stunk! There blow up bed, clothes, stereo, booze bottles, smoke, and trash was scattered all over the master bedroom. Along with used sanitary pad strips in the bathroom sink! (I had gave them permission to stay at the place to help them out so they wouldn't have to drive each day.) I was so upset. I packed all there things up and placed them outside with the exception of their computer that they left behind. I tried calling them, my husband tried calling them and they would not answer. So finally I sent her a text and told her to come get her stuff. I had to get a motel room while I was there. I came back to the house to figure out what I was going to do and I noticed they had picked up their stuff. But also noticed the water tank which I had just filled with 2600 gals. of water was drained and the pump was running which ended up burning it up. They never would answer our phone calls. I did text her and told her I would leave her computer at the local cafe. I just had getting ripped off like this. I would never do this to anyone and hurts to know that there are ones out there that do this.

This is no fancy house by any means but it was my house. The only way I was able to purchase it was from my Dad's estate. This has been a horrible experience and hope noone else gets scammed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The company performed the following unauthorized service:  furniture moving.  Furniture moving service is not mentioned on the companies website.  Furniture moving was not mentioned to us verbally.  Furniture moving service is not typically part of a deep cleaning service.  The company admitted that they performed furniture moving service in their Revdex.com response.  The company refused to move the furniture back.  Cost to us to move the furniture back plus actual damaged caused by moving the furniture is approximately $5000.  We are willing to settle for that amount.
Regards,[redacted]

I came on this morning to rave and tell the world how awesome these guys are. They truly can work miracles. They worked in our home for two days. Not only did they deep clean, they moved furniture took care of all my pine needles and did everything I asked plus. They are a positive spirit, happy, fun to be around and have big big hearts. They go above and beyond the call of duty. As a matter of fact I hired them to clean our home every two weeks. After doing my research they are the most affordable and accommodating company you could hire. In fact. I called them at 7pm on a Saturday night hoping to find some help. I was very surprised they answered due to the late hour. They were wonderful and were at our house the next day! Wow! We need more people like these two. Do not be detered or miss out because of a few negative comments. These guys are the real deal, a hard working bunch!

Client BEWARE!!!! If you want a reliable cleaning service, steer clear of Partner's in Grime!!! This service is horribly unreliable. They cancelled more than 50% of the time over a several month period of time. Each time, calling last minute (night before / same day) to cancel. Because their cleaning is great, we gave them a second try several months later. They came one time & for the second scheduled visit, they cancelled saying they would come to clean the following week. They never came, never called & did not respond to phone calls or text messages! Find someone you can trust with integrity!!
