My Original estimate was for $8802.50 for labor, Plus materials. Ms. [redacted] agreed to provide, pick up and deliver  materials.  Ms. [redacted] decided that it was best for me to go purchase and pick up materials, since I knew what I would need for repairs. I agreed to this, even though this...

was not added to the original estimate. I’m sure you are aware that driving, selecting, loading and delivering materials is time consuming. I decided not to charge extra for this service so that Ms [redacted] would benefit and save time, inconvenience and money. The reason I’m stating this, is because Ms. [redacted] stated she paid me $19,400. I gave Ms. [redacted] all the receipts for the materials I bought with the money she gave me and we went over the receipts together. She approved all purchases.    She also requested many change orders that added to the original estimate, and I have not been paid for any of them.  As for her claims about the blinds not matching in color, that is correct. When I needed the blinds I had asked her to choose them herself because of the large variety, styles, price difference, and availability. She asked me to go ahead and pick them myself. When I purchased them at [redacted] they did not have matching set for all the windows, they would have to be special ordered and would take some time for delivery. She also told me to use as many of the old blinds as I could so there was no way the blinds were going to match. Some of the original blinds were dirty and needed cleaning of which I never said I would clean them in my estimate. She still has not paid me for all the blinds either . I have the receipts for them with me as proof. The trim that she claims is badly painted in my opinion is not true, it is simply a different technique of applying the paint. The interior trim consists of 1x6 boards that was commonly used at the time the house was built. I asked her before We started painting if there was any certain way she wanted the paint applied. She said no just paint it. I decided to go with painting the edges (top and sides) the same color as the walls because of several reasons, one reason is because part of the trim was already painted like this before I started and I have pictures to prove this. Another reason is because the drywall in some parts of the house sits directly on top of  the trim and some trim is installed on the drywall so the in order to have the trim paint look uniform I decided to paint the face of the trim one color and the edges the color of that wall. When Ms [redacted] informed me that she didn’t like it I told her repeatedly that I would repaint it to her liking but by this time she had become very rude, mean and verbally abusive and even started threatening me and telling me I should be shot. I have the text to prove this also. Her complaint of overpay on some items is also true, but like I had explained to Ms [redacted] I was not done with my work and we had not discussed a walk thru to make a punch list of repairs that needed to be addressed. These issues were resolved when I went back to fix some of the items she mentioned in her complaint so I cleaned off the overspray and repainted the trim. I fixed the the drywall that was not done properly around some wall plates, of which nI have pictures of. I cleaned the paint off the toilet, windows and some other items she mentioned. The cable outlets she mentioned were already full of paint before I started and were not part of the original estimate but in order to calm attempt to appease Ms [redacted] I went ahead and bought new plates and exchanged them. I cleaned the light cover in the restroom also that brought tp my attention. I don’t know why she is including some of the items I fixed And have proof of, in her list of complaints.I agree that there are some items not finished only because I repeatedly asked her to meet me at the job site so we could discuss the balance for all the extra work that she asked for. And so she could look at the repairs I did that she was complaining about. Ms [redacted] never showed up to reassure me of payment even after I informed her that if she wouldn’t meet me in person to discuss this matter I would cease to continue working on her property until she agreed to meet me. She never responded to my request. I have many texts to prove what I have stated and pictures .Please contact me if you need these pictures and texts. Thx.
