Pat O'Brien Chevrolet Reviews (6)

Numberous problems with our car, every time it was taken in, it was worse when we went to pick it up Replaced liner twice and while our car there for service, it was wrecked by one of their employees and we found it on our own I feel they were never going to tell us about the accident We have been treated horribly and after many interactions with this business, my car was returned to us the other day and the back seat is not properly secured, the clamps are broken and it appears someone was welding or grinding next to my car....it has pit marks all over back driver side door It amazes me that they feel it was ok to return our car to us like that, especially since the back seat is a safety issue!!! AWFUL DEALERSHIP!

Re: Case No*** -- MrMel M***
Dear MrD***:
Please be advised I am legal counsel for Pat O'Brien Chevrolet in Medina and am in receipt of the above-captioned matterFor your review, please find attached correspondence to MrM*** regarding his alleged problem with the vehicleSince the pertinent information is contained in the attached correspondence to MrM***, I will briefly restate Pat O'Brien Chevrolet's position
MrM*** purchased a high performance Porsche sports car and received a month, 3,mile limited warrantyThe limited warranty specifically excluded repairs to the clutchMrM*** was informed that the warranty did not cover the clutch on his vehicle and was not pleased with that informationIt was recommended to MrM*** that he read the month, 3,mile limited warranty which provides the exclusions to the specific repair and/or go online to review the specific exclusions to the warrantyPat O'Brien Chevrolet is neither the administrator of the warranty nor the provider of the warranty and, therefore, makes no recommendations as to what can be repaired pursuant to the terms of the warranty
It is my understanding that MrM*** removed the subject vehicle from the premises of Pat O'Brien Chevrolet and took it to another entity to be servicedPat O'Brien Chevrolet does not know the results of the service and/or whether or not that service entity called the warranty administrator to determine whether or not the service it performed, if any, was covered under the applicable warranty
The terms of the limited warranty are clear, the clutch is not a covered repair
I trust this correspondence complies with your requestIf you request additional information, please do not hesitate to contact my office

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
My complaint was about the customer service of the situation, not the warranty coverageOn all responses from Pat O'Brien or their attorney, they fail to address thatThis leads to confirmation that my complaint is valid and truePlease have them RE-READ the complaint and they will see this is a customer service complaint, not a warranty complaintI also decline to remove any of my public review post since they are factual and validReader will not find one or defamatory statement

she has had, and also Chevy has offered a $coupon towards the purchase of a new ChevyPat O'Brien Chevy has offered $more trade in value for the vehicle than the vehicle is actually worth and to this date have been unsuccessful in the transactionPat O'Brien Chevy has no benefit to try to move to a more expensive vehicle and also explained that they could go to another dealership if they didn't want to deal with usI explained to MrG*** on 11-2-that the offer was still good but we needed to act soonon the transaction as the trade value and incentives could changeI told him days to weeks

Mr***, Here is the reply for case #***Thank you for your time on the phone this morningIf you need any other facts, please don't hesitate toi contact meThank you, Jim ***May 10, 2017*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** ***RE: Case ID ***To Whom it May
Concern; In accordance with this complaint the consumer found a vehicle that was obviously price incorrectlyWhile we try to be 100% correct in our pricing, human errors and data errors and other factors always come into playWe generally have plus vehicles in our inventories and the odds that there are errors are greatly increased.Furthermore, this error was not made intentionally to attract buyers to "bait and switch" as the consumer suggestsThat would not be a good business tactic at all as we could in no way shape or form accommodate that priceWe also did not try to entice the consumer to come to the dealership other than in automated email responses. When it was pointed out to me that the pricing was incorrect, by one of MrO'Brien's other locations prior to this consumer's discovery, I had corrected the pricing immediatelyWhile reviewing the change log on stock number ***, we received the truck on *** at our Westlake location, the price was changed by an employee at 12:13pm on *** to the $18,error pricing and at 11:08am on I change the price to correct the errorThere is always a delay in web publishing and proliferation to the internetI believe that we acted responsibly and quickly to correct the errorI have enclosed the change log for that vehicle with this complain response. It appears that the consumer was aggressively attempting to buy a $54,truck for $18,or what equates to $35,discountI understand the customer's position on this and consider it opportunistic to think that this could happenTo pursue it to the degree that a clerical error would be considered "bait and switch" is irresponsible and only engineered to affect the outcome to their favor. While I don't agree with our manager, Todd, stating that the consumer "Was crazy to think that he would receive the vehicle at that price." I don't discount the fact the consumer was aggressively pursuing us to honor an unreasonable price and don't know the demeanor or direction of the conversation as it was taking placeWe have spoken to Todd and are assured that his customer care would be better managed in the future.I hope this clear matters upThank youDale G*** General Manager
