I have been with Grow Financial since 2013, and by far the decision to do business with them is the worst decision I have made in my life, and wish I could turn back time and not do it In the beginning they promised the worldLower APR (since I was refinancing my car), and they even threw in a $line of credit to sweeten the deal Since I started this loan, I regret every moment of itI am now considered a "high risk" account simply because I have been a month behind since the beginningYou would be too if they charge you nearly $2,for having more than a day lapse in your insurance! The agents in their loan resolution center are subpar Every time they call me I am treated like a criminal with threats of repo'ing my car and the reiteration about my account being a "high risk account" I'm now at a point where I refuse to speak with the resolution department, and I will only speak with the supervisor because I feel everything I say is not documented correctly, or they fail to include things we speak about I have gotten numerous threats of closing my card, repo'ing my car and threats of basically saying that if I get my account escalated again they would repo the car without notice, and would require I pay the car off in full before I could get it back At the current time I am only months behind and they are causing all these issues with me calling me constantly and threatening meRemind you: about months after I got the loan with them I was about months behind and they were willing to work with me and get me back on trackI feel now all they care about is their money and getting it on time That being said: I would never do business with them again, once I pay off the car, I am closing the credit card and moving onThis federal credit union is by far the worst I have had the misfortune of dealing with, and really regret every moment of it

If you are looking for a credit union, this is not it My experience has been quite disappointing First, I went in to open my accounts It seemed like a good thing a $joining fee I opened three accounts with a plan to move my bank accounts over to Grow and to close out my association with my bank I deposited a small amount for each of the three accounts a couple of hundred dollars each At one point, I was asked if I wanted electronic statements and I did not At the end of the transaction, I was given a packet and left I never got any starter checks, which I have as standard issue from other banks I thought that they would be mailed to me once the paper work was processed Nothing happened So, three weeks later, I went in I was given paper print outs of checks on common printer paper I've never seen anything like it It was a this time that I was told that I should order checks and that they would cost me $or so per box I could order my own checks for a cheaper price Okay
The following week, I got my first statement I opened it up just to check it over I discovered that there was a $paper statement fee I had no idea that this was a charge....so, once again, I went in to the local branch Each time I go in, by the way, it's at least a minute wait for customer service, and the past two times was for minutes of service This time, I found out that I had two options the electronic statement or the paper statement No matter what, I would be charged for the paper statement(My mother has an account with them and she checked she isn't charged At this point, they told me that they waive fees for seniors) Now, nowhere was I told this not even opening the account If it is in the paperwork that they gave me, it's in the very fine print If I had known that those were my two choices forced electronic statements (which are not secure and I'm not comfortable with) or paper statements with a charge....I would have stopped there and cancelled the transaction While they did refund my $4, I was old that I would be charged again for every month that I used paper statements The customer service was terrible there was no apology for the miscommunication, no offers of other avenuesAnd, it was at this time that I also mentioned my prior experience with the checks Oh, the rep said, we don't offer that because of security issues and fraud Seriously, what?
This is not good customer service There isn't even anywhere to call to offer the feedback I'm so incredibly disappointed I will be checking competitive credit unions, but may end up staying with my bank which might actually be a better deal, even though their customer service is also rather slow and they have grown less helpful over the years
Overall, they got my $5, and wasted my time I'm not happy

I have recently financed my new vehicle through Grow FinancialThey mixed up my insurance information, raised my payment $to pay for insurance they claimed to have put on my vehicle when I have had my policy for over years, then hit my credit bureau report when I paid my original car payment amountThis credit union is VERY hard to work withCustomers BEWARE OF GROW FINANCIAL!

I have been with Grow Financial since 2013, and by far the decision to do business with them is the worst decision I have made in my life, and wish I could turn back time and not do it.

In the beginning they promised the world. Lower APR (since I was refinancing my car), and they even threw in a $500 line of credit to sweeten the deal.

Since I started this loan, I regret every moment of it. I am now considered a "high risk" account simply because I have been a month behind since the beginning. You would be too if they charge you nearly $2,000 for having more than a 30 day lapse in your insurance! The agents in their loan resolution center are subpar Every time they call me I am treated like a criminal with threats of repo'ing my car and the reiteration about my account being a "high risk account".

I'm now at a point where I refuse to speak with the resolution department, and I will only speak with the supervisor because I feel everything I say is not documented correctly, or they fail to include things we speak about.

I have gotten numerous threats of closing my card, repo'ing my car and threats of basically saying that if I get my account escalated again they would repo the car without notice, and would require I pay the car off in full before I could get it back.

At the current time I am only 2 months behind and they are causing all these issues with me calling me constantly and threatening me. Remind you: about 6 months after I got the loan with them I was about 4 months behind and they were willing to work with me and get me back on track. I feel now all they care about is their money and getting it on time.

That being said: I would never do business with them again, once I pay off the car, I am closing the credit card and moving on. This federal credit union is by far the worst I have had the misfortune of dealing with, and really regret every moment of it.
