[redacted] - thank you for following up with us on this matter I have read Mr [redacted] 's second complaint and should clarify - only the number five glow plug was changed at [redacted] Automotive, the numbers one and three glow plugs were changed at our facility We incorrectly assumed the updated lower estimate was from another facilty as there is no name on itHowever, the fact that the same facility was originally wanting to charge us $5000-for the work they said the vehicle needed and is now willing to do the work that they say it needs for $is a major red flag for us and I would assume for you as well How are we supposed to believe any of their recommendation are either true or accurateAs we stated before, we are willing to give a FULL AND COMPLETE REFUND upon the return of the vehicle in the same condition as it was when it left I'm not sure how much more a company can stand behind it's product than to take it back and refund the purchase price Asking it to be returned to the same facility that it was purchased and picked up from does not seem to be unreasonable If Mr [redacted] doesn't want to drive it back, we can help him find a vehicle transporter who could truck the vehicle back to us

Dear Mr***; Please find enclosed a refund check for $I want to apologize for the misunderstanding over the refund. I think the confusion may have happened over due dates and move out dates. Again, please accept our apologies. Thank you

Invoices from either company that supposedly performed any replacement of glow plugs only showed glow plug replaced and not and another like in their rebuttalThe outside company *** Auto which is associated with Precision Fleet Services (PFS) based on invoice attached only showed #plug being replaced when in fact it is seized in the block as stated in email from Mercedes-Benz(MB) tech on diagnosis (attached)I have SMS Text logs of the representative at PFS stating all glow plug should have been replaced. In regards to what actually happened, I drove home across the country and cold started it for the first time when I got homeThis is when I brought it to MB and informed PFS about the situation of a ball park range quote off the top of the head from MB of about $in labor alone plus the cost of partsThe original quote I sent them (attached) states about $10,or so in repairsThe quote they attached from my supposed alternate company other than MB is in fact a lie as I stated it was from MB themselvesThis, as I stated to them, was a cheaper quote from MB after I asked them for only the absolute bare minimum of what is needed to be done to follow through with all glow plugs replacedThe quote they sent is parts alone for this service plus the labor of around $This all does not include the glow plugs apparently replaced already. It is true PFS offered me a full refund but only at my cost of transportation back to their shopI will not accept this as a reasonable offer as this is not my wrong doingThis company has ignored and smudged the truth from the start all the while not complying to the matter all the while disregarding the fact they for one did not replace all glow plugs, and for two, are misleading evidence by historically context

We have received and reviewed the complaint file by Mr*** (he) with your office and are happy to respond with some facts to clarify the transaction Prior to delivering the vehicle to him we completed service in our shop that included the replacement of two glow plugs. We also
contracted with an outside company that specializes in the maintenance and repair of diesel engine to complete the replacement/repair of a third glow plug. After these repairs were completed a number of cold starts and test drives were performed with no issues on indicator lights coming on Awhile after driving the vehicle across country he sent a letter demanding we pay to complete a major engine repair or face legal action. At this point he claimed the cost for the repair as $5000. He later provided a second estimate from another shop (attached) for the same repair that was for less than half of this amount. Now in this complaint he is claiming the repairs he wants paid for will run between $8-10,000. Based on the cost of materials and the cost of labor required to replace the three glow plugs that haven’t been replaced (but that were functioning property at the time of delivery), we offered to send him $to reimburse for the service In addition, we offered him a full and complete refund for the purchase price of the vehicle upon his acceptance and return of the vehicle to our office in the same condition it was in at delivery. At this point, neither offer has been directly responded to. From the first contact with our company, Mr*** has been combative and threating while continuing to pursue reimbursement for repairs that are outside of the scope of any prior conversations. We feel with the offer to reimburse the repairs that were initially requested or repurchase the vehicle we have acted in good faith and gone far beyond what is required

*** - thank you for following up with us on this matter. I have read Mr***'s second complaint and should clarify - only the number five glow plug was changed at *** Automotive, the numbers one and three glow plugs were changed at our facility. We incorrectly assumed the updated lower estimate was from another facilty as there is no name on itHowever, the fact that the same facility was originally wanting to charge us $5000-for the work they said the vehicle needed and is now willing to do the work that they say it needs for $is a major red flag for us and I would assume for you as well. How are we supposed to believe any of their recommendation are either true or accurateAs we stated before, we are willing to give a FULL AND COMPLETE REFUND upon the return of the vehicle in the same condition as it was when it left. I'm not sure how much more a company can stand behind it's product than to take it back and refund the purchase price. Asking it to be returned to the same facility that it was purchased and picked up from does not seem to be unreasonable. If Mr*** doesn't want to drive it back, we can help him find a vehicle transporter who could truck the vehicle back to us
