indicator, meaning that there were no known problems. When the customer called and told me the starter needed to be replaced I offered to pay for some of the bill for the starter. When he called again explaining that there were more repairs I offered to have my mechanic look at the car for a second opinion. I was never informed that their mechanic had said that the engine had, "severe damage and needed to be replaced." When they did call about a week later, I reminded the owner that the car was sold, "As Is." As a dealer I don't offer guarantees and my sales are final. I explained this to them when they bought the car. I am very sorry for this unfortunate case, but at this point I have no responsibility to cover the costs of repair or refund their money. There are risks taken as a dealer when cars are bought at the auction and there are risks taken when purchasing a used car. I am sorry this happened.
