Revdex.com complaint #***Originally the customer called us out to look at her refrigerator on 6-23-The customer was scheduled for our first appointment we had available which was on 6-27-Technician Ryan arrIved at the customers house and found that the ice maker had been leaking into the ice
bucket and caused the auger to breakTechnician Ryan went out to his truck and printed out an estimate of what was needed, went back inside and gave the estimate to customer, she said that was fineTechnician Ryan told her we would order the parts and call her when they came in and get her rescheduledThe parts arrived on 6-30-15, we called the customer and attempted to schedule with herThe customer said the available dates that were offered were not soon enough and she was going to call someone elseShe was told that we would return the parts but we needed to collect the service charge for coming out to look at her appliance and gave the diagnosisCustomer became upset and hung up the phone on usCustomer called back on 7-2-and wanted to re-schedule for us to come back out and finish the repairWe told her that was fine but since she had already cancelled and refused payment once we would need to collect the service call before returning that was still oustanding and the remaining balance upon completetion of the repairThe customer did not want to do that she said she would have a check for us when we came back out We told her that we needed to collect original service call of Sbefore coming back because since she had cancelled already once priorThe customer told us we were unprofessional and that she was going to complain to the Revdex.com, post negative things about us on Facebook and tell all her friends while still trying to get us to come outWhen she threatened to slander the company it was evident that issues would persists even if we completed service properlyCustomer refused to pay for time already invested in jobAt that time we advised her we would not continue until initial service call was paid. The customer indicated in the letter from the Revdex.com that the invoice was preprintedWe cannot explain this assumption and she did not bring this concern up to the technicianWhen she called the office and talkedto MrPate, she spoke with my nephew who has been working with us for about a year and must have made the assumption he was in managementIt is resonable to assume that when you run a family business that has been servicing the community since 1954, there would be many employee's with the same last nameI listened to the phone conversation recording and at no time did my nephew Michael indicate he was in charge in any form, the customer asked his name and he gave the information as requestedCustomer used the term "letterhead" which was not accurate, she was given an invoice, this was the miscommunicationMichael was not clear about what she was referrencing and as it is a policy Michael advised that he would check with the technician that was onsite instead of making an assumptionAll our service vehicles have laptops and printers installedInvoices are printed at the time of service and have been for the last five years, out letterhead looks completely different but calling an invoice letterhead does bring confusion into the conversation and even if she was given letterhead it can be printed just as easily onsiteA resonable person should have relized that technology has advance to the point that this capabilty is easily achieved and used by most in the service industry. We terminated service with the customer because of the assumptions and faudulent accusations made by the customerWe did come and give a proper diagnosis for the customer and if the service call of $which is due for trip and diagnostic is not paid within days her account will be processed for collectionsI appriciate her reporting this to the Revdex.com as it will serve as admission of services renderedI am avliable anytime for questions from the Revdex.com or MsRivers.Thomas P***Pate Appliance Service LLCHamilton, Ohio 45011513-863-

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Number 1 whichever Pate was on the phone is a liar and my 17 year old Grandson was here a heard the whole conversation, the service person that came in the house brought the propose estimate in with him the only time he went back out of the house was to leave I looked at the estimate and I said to my grandson how can he say that I needed an auger before he even looked at the ice maker and if that part was needed why didn't [redacted] need the same part.  When whatever pate called about the part being in the first thing I asked was how could a serviceman come in with a preprinted estimate Pate said he did not know that I would have to ask the serviceman who came out about that now if that person was sitting there why did he not put that person on the phone, and if that part was needed why didn't the [redacted] Professional service person need that auger drum I enclosed 2 copies of the service order that [redacted] service did they  did not need an auger drum. I do not care how long pate has been in business and I am sure that have had more then my complaint.  They probably had no intentions of installing a auger drum just charge a senior citizen for it, not thinking that I would question them about it.  I Just think how many unsuspecting customers they have ripped off in all the years they supposely have been in business.  I never said I would not pay the service call the pate on the phone got upset after badgering me for my credit card number and I refused to give my credit card number and I told him they could pick up a check anytime and he said you bring it to us.  That is when I told them I that I was going to report pate to Revdex.com AND put it on FACE BOOK.  I am not hard up for money like they seem to be.  $79.00 is not going make me or break me.  I will get my bank to mail them a check for the service call.  Their threats of taking this to collections does not phase me at all it just shows how desperate they are. Cheating people by charging them for work and parts they did not use or do.
Regards,
[redacted]
