PATIENT ADVOCATE SENIOR SERVICES Reviews (%countItem)

My brother, entered Hermann Hospital Greater Heights/Houston on 11/29/2019. The doctors advised hospice care and connected us (my daughter and myself) to T ***, Inc., signing papers on 12/19/2019. Note: Address filed is for TLHCT, PASS has no address on cards/brochures. We were referred to one hospice care home but were not pleased at all (no sign of medical care, equipment, administration was questionable, and dusty). They wanted $2500 cash up front. Then we were directed to PASS (Patient Advocate Senior Services, to whom we are filing this complaint). We visited the home and were very pleased with the presentation and atmosphere, especially for a dying man. The cost would be $2000 monthly. Were told, more than once, through three direct representatives, that Medicare would cover the first five days. If the patient died within the first five days, we would be reimbursed $1600 = $2000 - $400 administrative fee. We deposited $1700 Ck #506 plus $300 cash into the PASS bank account (Capitol One on Antoine/249 Houston, TX) on 12/19/2019. He was admitted into the home on Friday night, 12/20/2019). I signed papers on 12/21/2019; but the printer/copier was conveniently down so they would not release copies or receipts, nor never mailed them to us. My brother passed way (in the home) on Monday, 12/23/2019 @ 7:20a.m. Since he was nursed for such a short period and the discussion was so recent we felt PASS would reach out to us with a refund. To no avail. We contacted TLHCT and PASS in mid-January, and have been given a complete run around. TLHCT made it clear the issue is for PASS to handle. No one knew nothing about nothing until we mentioned the Revdex.com. Suddenly, the check's in the mail. We were even told the first check would be stopped and another mailed out. That was on 02/24/2020. To date, we have not received the promised refund. I feel insulted, cheated, taken advantage of. I even regret referring them to a friend who's had a stroke.
