Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

The following parts of The Rink's response are blatant lies. The Rink's response: "It is our information that the coach in question did not tell the customer that her daughter was “chicken”."After my daughter and I turned toward the beginner section as asked, I held her hand because she was nervousThe coach told me bluntly not to and I let goThen she turned to my daughter and said, "Don't be a chicken.""The daughter was doing fine but the mother was wanting to be involved."As mentioned later in your response, we started late, but not because we arrived lateMy daughter initially was not going to skate because it makes her very nervousAfter friends and I were able to convince her to give it a try, did she finally get skates onWithin minutes of being out there, while I was still getting my skates on, she complained to me that the coach was meanShe wanted to quit and I encouraged her to try again and that's when we headed out together not knowing we were going the wrong way. "She was told to take the child back to beginner’s part of the rink at which the mother began to cry."Not trueAs I mentioned above, we turned around when asked, were reprimanded for holding hands and then may daughter was called a chicken before we could reached the beginner section. "The coach reiterated that the daughter has to be in the beginner’s section."This did not happenWe were on our way to the beginner sectionI was not crying at this point and after she called my daughter a chicken, I did calmly say that "my daughter is very sensitive and the way she was speaking to her was not going to help." That's when the coach touted her credentials and said "I'm the ???? Champion and I'll teach the way I want to." This is when I became upset, defensive and protective of my daughter and began to cry, not believing that this could possibly be happening. "The mother stated that she did not understand that the skating session didn’t start until 10:30 although in her complaint statement she advises that she understood that it was a lesson on Saturday mornings."I never saw a flyerMy friends who invited me said people could free skate or get coaching tipsI had no idea it would be so structured. "The coach reports that at no time was the mother calmShe was upset and very direct and pushy about she wanted to do with her daughter at The RinkOne of the protocols of the coaching at The Rink is that every effort is made to have the children skate by themselves and the daughter was doing just fine until the mother got her upset."My first words to the coach even after she called my daughter a chicken were calm and respectfulMy emotions escalated quickly as described above when the coach's response was high and mighty instead of caring. "The coach reports that the little girl was doing fine but that mother became upset when she couldn’t skate with her daughter in the more advanced rink."This is simply not trueI didn't even know what or where anything was happeningWe followed all of her instructionsThe problem only arose after she said "don't be a chicken.""This customer was never told to leave." I was told to get off the rink during the class. "The coach asked the little girl whether she wanted to stay or go and the little girl looked at her mother and said she was not sure."The coach did not speak another word directly to my daughter after she called her a chickenThis girl wanted to leave before the class even got started and I had hoped for encouragement for herNot the opposite. As far as a refund is concerned, you state that "The class is free," but part of why you will not refund the fee, is because "This is especially true when the customer had already been at the class for more than one-half of its length." My daughter had only skated 5-minutes and I only skated minutes during the "free class." After such a horrible experience, there is no way we could/would stay and wait to skate at 10:I ask that you reconsider offering a refund. Thank you, *** ***

The information she stated is not correct our sessions are in increments of 2.5 hrs, not one hour like she stated. Our sessions on Saturday do not start at 5:30. We are closed from 5pm-6pm. We open at 6pm, our sessions are from 6-8:30, 8-10:30, and 10- midnight. The session times are on our front...

window when you walk up to pay. Also, when you get your hand stamped, it will have the session time you need to leave by. The stamp will have 8:30, 10:30, or midnight. If you choose to stay for the next session, its $2.25 for the next session. They came at 7pm and paid until 8:30. They were told if they stay the next session, it would be additional $2.25 or they would need to leave. We have everyone exit the floor at the end of each session and check hand stamps. Our security has the people come to the front of the building that need to pay for an extra session or leave. They did pay the extra amount and got to stay until 10:30. The owner's daughters' attitude did shift towards the negative side, only once she had started to get yelled at by a group of people about our policies and how they didn't agree with them. Our policies state we do not give refunds, and they skated for the session that they paid for.
