Patrick's Heating & Air Conditioning Reviews (%countItem)

After dealing with a couple of other a/c companies for the past 2 years, I was still having the same problem. Called Patrick's for an appointment. They sent Justin out on time. He was very polite and knowledgeable. Above all he fixed my problem within 10 minutes. None of the other techs from the other companies hadn't been able to remedy. They will now be coming back next week to add an a/c duct for my lanai. Will also use them for my future plumbing needs. Thanks again.

Overcharging for work done
We contacted Patrick's Heating and Air after another company didn't show up. The tech came out and commented on such a nice business. He opened our GrandAire package unit that is only a year and a half old and told me a part was bad on the side of the fan. He called around and said the whole fan needed to be replaced at $395 in labor. (Part was under warranty) I said that was very high but I had no choice after a week without aircon. No itemized bill and he was here and gone in under 45 minutes and had a new part ordered. 2 days later a different tech showed up and called me saying the part was in but the capacitor was failing and he needed another $95 to replace it. (Part under warranty) I asked why the last tech didn't test that and he gave me a song and dance. I told him to replace it and bill us but he insisted on a credit card now. Again gone in less than 45 minutes and fleeced us for $490 in labor on a 1.5 year old unit. We have contacted them several times with no resolution.

Desired Outcome

Reduce the bill by half and give refund.

Mr. A

I am sincerely sorry to hear that you feel Patrick's Heating and Air Condition has overcharged you. After my investigation of your claim on 9/18/2019 under the homeowner's name Mr. Simpson, the technician charged you accurately. Patrick's has a $49 diagnostic charge and uses flat-rate pricing with a fair market value price book. Mr. A, you have to remember that all the technicians that are employed by Patrick's are highly experienced and have many years of continuous training. I believe it is unfair to request a discount after a technician has accurately and efficiently repaired your equipment. On all warranty parts, there are freight charges and office labor hours that are needed to complete the warranty process. With that said I am willing to refund an additional 20% off your bill to keep Patrick's 100% customer service guarantee. I will have the office reach out to you today and credit your refund.

I am 90 years old and had used this company for years. They put a new unit in as you can see I now have a mold issue. I got another company to confirm
Payment method : ***

Desired Outcome

Already paid this company and now they are trying to charge me again! They don't answer phones it goes to an answering service.

Patrick's Heating & Air Conditioning Response • Dec 10, 2018

On behalf of Patricks Heating and Air, I would like to apologize first for not putting our response out when necessary. The email was sent to our General Manager who was let go in November. The situation with Mr *** mother is not something we took lightly. The manager at the time did not handle the situation as we typically have in the past and as soon as our company departed ways with him we tried to rectify the situation with Mr ***. He had work done by another company which we offered to reimburse him in full for. Our refunding process sometimes takes a few weeks, especially with this type of special situation. Mr *** emailed in again last week very unhappy, and really quite rudely. I advised him at that time, that the company has already okayed the refund and that I would follow up with the accounting department to see where we were in that process. He has repeatedly gone onto social media and other websites to bash our company after we have already told him we would refund the money. Our company takes pride in always righting any wrongs that happen and we are trying to do that now.

I was refered to the Revdex.com by the Department of Elder Affairs and yes I have contacted other Federal and State agencies. I was asked by Patrick's office manager to drop my complaints and remove reviews of the company if they fixed their mistakes. Thus far I have not received any communication or supporting documentation indicating that there is going to be money refunded to my Mother ( For the repairs to fix the poor workmanship done by Patrick's ). I was told the new general manager would review this and determine if any refund would be issued! We used the Authorized Amana Dealer to have the repairs necessary to fix the faulty wiring and mold issue. Patrick's exhibit's extremely poor customer service skills as in not ever bothering informing us of their intentions.
I believe this another case of "your check's in the mail"?
So until I have actual proof anything is taking place I will continue contacting Federal and State Regulators as recommended by the attorney from the Department of Elder Affairs. If my Mother really gets compensation from Patrick's for the repairs I will let you know that this issue has been resolved.
Thank You for your help!

This is a very unfortunate situation. Patricks has kept up their communication regarding the refund via email to Mr *** and we can bring forward those emails. The refunding process was followed up today by the Patricks office to the corporate accounting department and were made aware that the check has been sent out for a full refund. We hope this will resolve the issues and want it fully known that we never want any customer to feel taken advantage of in any situation.

Thanks very much for your help they paid the Authorized Amana dealer to remove the mold problems caused by the faulty installation ( improper wiring made the air conditioner run in one stage only causing mold in the duct work)
