Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [redacted] was hard to even get back for the repairs when he did come back and I have texts and calls to prove it, and when he did come back, the quality of the repairs were terrible They were patch job fixes Another glass company laughed at the quality of the installation, and the architect for the remodel said it was one of the worst install jobs he’s seen, and that the handrail is not even to code and is a lawsuit waiting to happen I and my girlfriend both cut ourselves because of the installation of the brackets They aren’t flush like they are supposed to be and [redacted] left sharp edges protruding The $credit was because I said to him he needs to fix it, so not sure what the all caps “without him even asking” is all about My contractor [redacted] who was here during the install also mentioned to him he should’ve covered the floors and he needs to fix them I was out of town when the final installation happened When I finally met my flooring contractor out here he said I’d have to remove around 7’ of flooring to correctly patch it Which would cost more than $ The outcome I expect? [redacted] needs to hire a DIFFERENT company to come out here and fix his terrible and dangerous install job or refund the amount needed to correct it I do not trust him, nor believe he has the skills to correct this himself Regards, [redacted]

I a not exactly sure where to start in response to this complaintI have no idea how I could be called rude, I was never anything but polite and respectful (same as I am with all my customers)One complaint is saying he cut himselfHe said it was on a bracket that holds the railingI did not
design the brackets, so I'm not sure how I am to blame for thatIf he did not like those brackets he could have told me (he never said anything about them) and would have got a different style bracketYes a piece of glass broke (it's glass and accidents happen) what he left out is that I took $dollars off the price of the job (WITHOUT HIM EVEN ASKING) to cover any cost to repair the scratches, we both agreed that would be far more than enough to cover itThe other issues he had that there was a piece of cladding that was 1/8" off the one next to it, the top rail was a little off in one spot and the hand rail going down the stairs had a little curve in it. The hand rail was slightly curved because when I installed the shoe the glass sits in I had to make sure I was hitting a solid beam, I don t know where the beam is till I start drillingI ended up having to move the shoe 2" further from the edge than plannedThat means the bracket at the top of the stairs doesn't reach out as far and causes the rail to curve a littleI went back to his house to look at the three things above, I told him I have to call and see if they make a longer bracket and order a piece of cladding for the one spotI did just that, I ordered everything and was waiting for it to be delivered when he decided to write this reviewLast time we spoke he was fine and saying thanks I appreciate it and all that stuffThis review was a complete surprise to meI have every text message between us (which was our main communication) and will be happy to share themNever am I rude in themIt confirms everything I'm saying about ordering materials and everything elseI don't know what more I can say or what more I could have done

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[redacted] was hard to even get back for the repairs when he did come back and I have texts and calls to prove it, and when he did come back, the quality of the repairs were terrible.  They were patch job fixes.  Another glass company laughed at the quality of the installation, and the architect for the remodel said it was one of the worst install jobs he’s seen, and that the handrail is not even to code and is a lawsuit waiting to happen.  I and my girlfriend both cut ourselves because of the installation of the brackets.  They aren’t flush like they are supposed to be and [redacted] left sharp edges protruding.

The $500 credit was because I said to him he needs to fix it, so not sure what the all caps “without him even asking” is all about.  My contractor [redacted] who was here during the install also mentioned to him he should’ve covered the floors and he needs to fix them.  I was out of town when the final installation happened.  When I finally met my flooring contractor out here he said I’d have to remove around 7’ of flooring to correctly patch it.  Which would cost more than $500.

The outcome I expect?  [redacted] needs to hire a DIFFERENT company to come out here and fix his terrible and dangerous install job or refund the amount needed to correct it.  I do not trust him, nor believe he has the skills to correct this himself.
