In August I solicited the work of Patriot Plumbing for a sewer issue I had used their service a couple years earlier on a county-mandated interior sewer repair, as Patriot plumbing was on the county's approved plumber list The work was done expeditiously and I was largely pleased with the end result Consequently I sought them out when the cast iron 4-inch drain started leaking at the seams where it traversed the wall of our basement a couple years later The pipes were some years old and they were probably due to fail The owner, *** ***, was hard to get hold of, but I was able to connect on a Thursday whereupon he assessed the job He gave me a price that I thought was a bit steep, but having seen his work, I elected to go forward with the job On August 13, 2018, he and an assistant replaced a large portion of the sewer pipe plus another section in about two hours and charged me $***.** When I inquired about an inspection, he replied that one wasn't needed
