Patty A. Lester, CPA

Ms. Patty A. Lester prepared my 2010 state of Montana and federal personal income taxes and at my request, she was supposed to file an extension to file my return late. She told me she did file the extension. Finally when she did file the 2010 returns, I discovered the IRS had no record of an extension being filed and had assessed me a fine. When I contacted Ms. Lester about this she sent me a copy of the extension she claims she filed. It was an extension form but had no date and no proof of filing. I submitted this form from Ms. Lester to the IRS. They did not accept it as it had no proof of filing. I contacted Ms. Lester via email and telephone repeatedly to resolve this matter- to see if she could help me with finding a way to prove it was filed. My last email to her was one month ago. She has not returned my emails or calls. Today she answered when I called again but she hung up on me, stating she was driving, could not talk, and would phone me back soon. The fine from the IRS is $1,697.40 and is growing daily due to interest.
