Additional charge of $40.00 was submitted for a survey map certification revision that was not submitted to the surveyor when survey was finished and sent. My Office manager should have waited until the proper certification was obtained before sending the map in the first place. I contacted the...
client and explained this and refunded the $40.00 and professional fee for time that was not used in completing the survey even though client signed a lump sum contract for the survey. I think I refunded a total of $185.00.
Client was further upset that a copy of the same invoice for the $40.00 with the same date and number was sent to him and his attorney, which has been common pratice for the 30 years in business. Client thinks I was trying to double charge him some that I have never done! As far as I know the complaint has been satisfied.
