MrPainter is correct the car did have to be brought back to the dealership to have the state inspection doneThis car was scheduled to be wholesaled, but since he was interested in purchasing the vehicle we sold the car to himHe should not have been charged for the work that was needed I have instructed the manager to have a check processed for him in the amount of $MrPainter has been contacted in order for him to pick up the check Thank you, [redacted] Bishop G.M

Mr***s was correct his credit was reviewedMrand Mrs *** both filled out and signed a credit applicationWhen the Finance Director received the application the credit application was processed.Credit is reviewed for a number of reasons:In order to verify Identity of the customerIn order to
verify that the people attempting to use this identity are not prior or current fraud victimsIn order to verify that the Federal Government has not "Red Flagged" requiring the dealership to perform more ID checksTo verify credit worthiness, i.ecan the people actually pay for the vehicleTo offer the customer lower interest ratesEven though the ***s had shown us a credit union approval, for a lessor amount, these steps must be takenTheir credit union of choice is actually one which Honda Of Clear Lake is authorized to print and sign contracts forThe ***s were never submitted to any lending institution.According to Mr*** he was a former automobile salesperson and credit applications are standard forms in all dealershipsMr AND Mrs*** both filled out and signed the application for credit.The video with audio is available for reviewMrand Mrs *** actually verify and personally review their application At no time did the ***s mention that their credit application should not have been processed.Honda Of Clear Lake would be more than happy to assist the ***s with a removal of the inquiry however it is not allowedThe ***s may request that the inquiry be removed by request ion this action from the Credit File Company at no charge to them.Regards,Tom ***PresidentHonda Of Clear Lake

It is unfortunate that I had to pay additional interest on these monies due the dealership not being honest and delaying payments. Clear Lake Honda has made no offer to compensate me for their actions and the additional time, money and stress they have subjected me too. MS. [redacted] originally submitted her application with a $2000 down payment. When Honda Of Clear Lake submitted the credit application it was based on this down payment. When Ms. [redacted] was to sign her retail installment contract it was discovered that the only down payment available at that time was...

$400.According to the laws in the state of Texas a retail installment contract also serves as a receipt. If we were to have contracted Ms. [redacted] as actually having the $2000 at time of delivery then we would not have the legal right to collect the additional $1600 a later date, as she requested. Furthermore, Honda Of Clear Lake would have been committing fraud by sending a contract to a bank showing a $2000 down payment without actually having it at the time of delivery.A new credit application was submitted with her actual down payment of $400. The lender viewed the new loan to be a higher risk and offered credit at a higher interest rate. Ms. [redacted] was given the opportunity to not contract, not take delivery that day, or not purchase the car. Ms. [redacted] actually walked outside and decided to return to the finance office an accepted the terms based on her true down payment of $400 not $2000.Delivery of the vehicle was made and approximately 1 week later she asked to re contract. Unfortunately the bank cashed the contract, the titling of the vehicle had been processed and the dealership had no ability to change the agreed upon terms. Ms. [redacted] may certainly refinance the loan with any bank or credit union of her choice. The loan is simple interest and she would only be responsible for the interest for the period of time the loan was used. There are no prepayment penalties.

Mr. [redacted] has refused to return any of the 8 messages we have left for him. If he has a driver side airbag recall [redacted] Honda Motor Company will provide him a rental car at no charge. However if he never comes in and never returns calls we can not accommodate him. Honda of Clear Lake administers the warranty for the manufacturer. We do not produce cars or warranty cars.

First off all there is no such thing as a [redacted]. I personally requested a new [redacted] today.  [redacted] still reports that the car [redacted] purchased is accident free. It also reports numerous services performed by dealerships and independent repair facilities over an 8 year span.[redacted]...

[redacted] purchased this car 4 months ago. The vehicle was advertised as a "fixer upper".  [redacted] was advised prior to purchase in writing and verbally that he was authorized to take this vehicle and have it inspected by ANY PERSON or REPAIR FACILITY he desired. Purchasing any vehicle with close to 100,000 miles carries risk.  [redacted] was offered a vehicle service contract which he denied. Honda Of Clear Lake is not able to over price vehicles and build in the cost of these warranties. I understand that many customers, even those purchasing high mileage cars, expect problem free cars but it is an unrealistic expectation. New cars of every make and model come with a limited warranty because they too have problems. If cars were perfect there wouldn't be warranties.We would gladly offer any assistance with the cost of any repair. It is common to offer discounted labor and parts to our good customers. Please have [redacted] make an appointment and allow us to see if we can save him some money.

Our customer actually received the requested information prior to the complaint however there was a miscommunication between spouses and this complaint was filed. We reconfirmed again today. The matter is resolved to our customers satisfaction.

However, I did not receive the emails which had the paperwork that was stated on those days back in March until I received a phone call from them on Monday 4/4/16.  I then got an email around 11 am.  I received the paperwork in the mail the next day but were copies of what I signed, they weren't the originals. I'm not sure what miscommunication with my spouse the business is talking about because I don't have a spouse.

Prior to signing a retail installment contract Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] were offered products and payment options. This was done on two separate menus we have provided. The menus clearly display the agreed upon done payment, term and payment. The agreed upon terms were a match to the contracts...

presented, accepted and signed.

We empathize and understand the frustration of [redacted] owners affected by the recall. The manufacturer of the airbags has accepted responibility and they are producing millions of replacement airbags. The [redacted] airbag recall has affected [redacted] and probably 7 or 8 other...

manufacturers. Honda dealerships are installing airbags immediately after receiving the replacements.
