Asking for final payment BEFORE project is 100% completed is a violation of our contractI have also asked repeatedly to file a damage claim with them and have been ignored and not called back When we were working with the moderator the company attempted to reduce our bill by $and have us sign a waiver of responsibility so they would not be sued for this jobWe refusedTo find resolution we agreed to have the cost of replacing the tile that they cracked and a piece of cabinetry they split deducted so we could find a more compotant contractor to finish the jobThe damage claim was pushed on to the subcontractor that did the plummingThis company never took ownership of anything, they took a project that under contract was suppose to last days and it's been months and it is still not finishedThey ordered wrong cabinets twice, measured the kitchen incorrectly so the flooor plan had to be re-arranged, installed the cabinets upside-down, had to replace the floor twice because your contractor installed a sub floor that was too thick and we could not remove our dishwasherThey splashed paint all over my house because the contractor could not be bothered to cover anything upThey broke my kids desk and wiiu and lied about itWhen the owner came out to the house because of all of these issues he told us they will "take care of us." This is far from overI still have a kitchen that is not complete, damaged and I'm dealing with a company that wants to wash it's hands of us and blame the subcontractors for everything without taking any blame or even offering an apologyPeople need to know never to use this company for anything [redacted]

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:
To whom it may concern,
I think you are confusedFirst of all, if you cause multiple mistakes, you as the business owner should know that you are responsible for those mistakes and their resolutionAt your expenseThe fact that your team screwed up so badly that your profits degraded and went negative is Not my problem, Should be a major point of concern as the business owner in regards to the people you employSecond, so you are clear that just because we used a moderator so you can get the rest of the money before finishing the work does not mean this complaint has no meritUnsurprisingly you are ignoring the fact that you caused further damage to my home, we have not been offered so much as an aplogy from you, and we are still dealing with the water damage that now needs to go through your insurance company because the subcontractor you used is not insuredYou are an unbelievably unprofessional company and you are just simply wanting us to go away because you started to lose money on this jobA problem you caused for yourselfHad you done the job correctly you would have made a profitWhy are you blaming us for your people's performance?
Sincerely,

This project was an insurance property damage claim and was handled through a insurance company's direct repair program.  The insurance company's third party administrator conflict resolution department was contacted on March 2nd to help address concerns of both parties.  The administrator was able to resolve a solution.  The contractor would deliver materials needed to complete the job, the homeowner would pay the contractor the outstanding balance, less the labor to install the materials.  In addition, the contractor would file a liability claim for alleged damage to the property owners' home.  Both parties were in agreement.

I am rejecting this response because:When a new project manager called us we were under the impression that she was coming out to look at the water damage and find a resolution. Instead she brought out a contractor that was never agreed upon and demanded payment or the job would not be finished. She never bothered to look at any of the damage and instead insisted the homeowner caused it. When I spoke to her on the phone she told us that the project manager who was in charge of the project scheduled someone to come out on Thursday. The fact that a cotractor would complete any work on Tuesday was never discussed. We thought because the original project manager and business owner never bothered to return our phone calls and we called their corporate team that they finally assigned someone to try to work with us. That was not the case. She arrived to blame my wife for damage she didn't even bother to look at and collect their paycheck. Also stating we "made $2,000 on this project." Asking for final payment BEFORE project is 100% completed is a violation of our contract. I have also asked repeatedly to file a damage claim with them and have been ignored and not called back.
When we were working with the moderator the company attempted to reduce our bill by $600 and have us sign a waiver of responsibility so they would not be sued for this job. We refused. To find resolution we agreed to have the cost of replacing the tile that they cracked and a piece of cabinetry they split deducted so we could find a more compotant contractor to finish the job. The damage claim was pushed on to the subcontractor that did the plumming. This company never took ownership of anything, they took a project that under contract was suppose to last 10 days and it's been 10 months and it is still not finished. They ordered wrong cabinets twice, measured the kitchen incorrectly so the flooor plan had to be re-arranged, installed the cabinets upside-down, had to replace the floor twice because your contractor installed a sub floor that was too thick and we could not remove our dishwasher. They splashed paint all over my house because the contractor could not be bothered to cover anything up. They broke my kids desk and wiiu and lied about it. When the owner came out to the house because of all of these issues he told us they will "take care of us." That was suppose to be the replacement of wooden paneling outside that they charged my insurance company $1,200 for and after 3 different subcontractors came out and refused the job because of what they were paying them they just credited us the $1,200. Thanks for "taking care of us." Then their subcontractor installs temporary parts as a full time solution for our kitchen plumming and causes water damage to the cabinets I just replaced because of water damage. Your project manager asks me to get a plummer out there that I paid for out of pocket to determine that the subcontractor was at fault, and when I do your company harasses the plummer to state a contradictory reason so they would not be at fault. We even sent them video of the damage that they ignorantly tried to use against us. After repeated attempts to contact the project manager and office we are finally contacted by a woman who states she is from the resolution department only to find out she is there to collect the final payment before the job is done. Excuse me, but given your quality of work, ignoring us, blaming us for water damage that your subcontractors caused because you started to lose money due to their incompetence and telling us we somehow MADE $2,000 on this when I paid you $20,000+ for a simple kitchen remodel, how do you expect us not to be hostile when you ask us for more money for a job you didn't do?
This is far from over. I still have a kitchen that is not complete, damaged and I'm dealing with a company that wants to wash it's hands of us and blame the subcontractors for everything without taking any blame or even offering an apology. People need to know never to use this company for anything.
