Hello and thank you for getting back to meThe company has since completed 90% of the job and then again left me abandonedTo this day after calls messages and emails the owner has still not made the effort
to call meThanks for your help
*** ***

Our job at the *** residence was to repair water damage in the kitchenIt involved replacing the cabinet boxes, not the face frames, holding up the island countertop, to repair drywall, to paint and to reset the island plumbingWe signed the contract on September and finished the contract October We have communicated many times trying to get paid, but to no availIn a meeting at Mr***’s home October 29 ( I was there together with the job responsible *** ***). We tried to explain the work and were booted out of the house after minutes. We have not received an official list of complaints but are guessing that his complaints include that the job took too long, that we have used the wrong drywall, and he wants the complete island replaced, not only repaired. We feel the job did not drag on, it was normalWe used thinner drywall to be able to curve it, common procedure, The insurance company would not pay for replacing the complete island but refused, although we tried
Mr*** filed a complaint also with the California State Licensing BoardIn our reply to the CSLB we asked that CSLB perform a mandatory mediationSo far the CSLB has not answered our request
In our dealings with Revdex.com we responded two timesIn our e-mail of December 2 we answered Mr***’s commentsHe was complaining that the owner (me) had been out of the country (I have not responded, the company operates without me now and then ), we painted the ceiling outside of the contract when his wife let us in (we have not charged him for that), the paint job was terrible (we did not charge for that), we made a mess (we did not see anything of that at our meeting October 2015)In our rebuttal to Mr***’ s rebuttal we wrote in our e-mail of December about our hope to have CSLB mediate, So far this has not happened. We have not heard from Revdex.com since December Notice my new e-mail address ***
Mr*** has a very short temper and is not easy to deal withHopefully CSLB can arrange a mediation settling the claimIf not we will file with Small Claims Court.
I do not know what I can do to appease Revdex.comNormally on a complaint we get a list of items the client is not happy with, a punch listThen we have something to work withHere the client says he is not happy with minimum detailsI have seen the job and it is good workmanshipIt seems like Mr*** is punishing us because the insurance company does not pay for what he wants (the cabinet face frames)?
Best Regards,

Dear Mr. [redacted],
I have reviewed the job file and offer the following comments on our job at your residence:
I am the owner and I have been out of town for an extended period of time. Therefore I have not been able to contact you. In my place you have been dealing with our General Manager [redacted] and [redacted], our superintendent. And believe me, I do care about my business. We have been part of Revdex.com for over 25 years.
I apologize for the amount of time it has been taking to get the cabinets redone. As you know, after we had completed the rebuild of the cabinets (we reused existing cabinet facing and rebuilt the boxes), you complained about the scratch marks on top of two doors. We felt this was extra work, not part of our scope, . since it was pre-existing, the marks were not part of the water damage. We contacted the adjuster to see if the insurance company would be willing to pay for it, we called many times and never got a response. We have the photos to show that the scratch marks were pre-existing, one shot from Service Master taken during drydown (before we started) and our shot now after we had rebuilt the cabinet.
In retrospect, we should have pressed the issue a lot harder with the insurance company. I apologize for your inconvenience. I will contact you next week regarding payment.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
President

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Please, all lies! I made the complaint 9/30/2015
They answer 2/2/2016
I gave them a list of items
They did charge me for the painting and they never asked the insurance to finish the job they were hired for. It will cost $2,400.00 to fix the paint job they did with out permission! And 750.00 to touch up their origins job.
The person that answers the door was my maid and she doesn't speak English!
On top of all of that 30% on bill was never done!
Regards,
[redacted]

I had paid $300 for materials and labor for a temporary fix.  The quote includes this fix. Insurance/Landlord will make payment.
I had given contractors and owners sufficient time to make changes if needed and they decided to keep my temporary fix and continue as is.
Plumber came and I had to pay out of pocket $125 for a part when [redacted] charges $99 for a brand new toilet.

[redacted] has a contract with [redacted]'s landlord to perform repairs where [redacted] is living. The landlord signed the contract in early February and we were asked to contact [redacted] for access. WE have left numerous messages, at least once a week,  and finally gained access on April 11 2014....

We performed the repairs in two days. There were some substitutions made. [redacted] need to talk to the landlord about  those as well as getting reimbursement for drywall repairs. We apologize if we left empty coffee cups in the bathroom.

Like I said before, Paul Davis Restoration has a contract with your landlord to perform drywall and paint repairs.  We do not have a contract with you. I understand you contracted separately with a plumber, that has nothing to do with Paul Davis Restoration., Your involvement has been to provide access for us so we could do our work, this was an arrangement your landlord asked you to do.

After my complaint with the Revdex.com the owner responded with a phone call saying he had been out of the country for the last three months and  promising me a call first thing in the morning with a resolution which took another week and never resolved.  He made things worse by sending someone to paint my ceiling with out my permission or contract and failed to fix anything. After the work the owner came out to my house to inspected his work and said he was there to pick up a check and that there was nothing wrong with the quality of work his company did. Only after I filed a complaint with California State Contractors Board did the Larry the manager agreed that they should not bill me for the horrible paint job they did with out my permission. How nice of them to decide after two complaints to not charge me for some of the bill, but who is going to fix the mess you made ? And finish the job I hired you to do?

Review: I hired this company to restore my kitchen island on 8-4-15 they came in took pictures wrote me a contract and promised to be done in a couple of weeks at the latest. Today is 9-30-15 and the job is not complete. They have abandoned me and left my house in shams. I have called 10 times and asked to speak to the owner. I have only gotten excuses and lies. I want to hire another company to finish this job and I want everyone to know how this company has abandoned me and this job. Completely unprofessional and a bunch of liars everyone of the 4 people I have dealt with are all worthless liars. I want the owne to call me . I have 10 emails and phone calls to prove he won't or hasn't called, he obviously doesn't care about his company.Desired Settlement: My job finished now! And the owner to call me directly
