than one cause for the elevated moisture level in [redacted]'s basement. We had a manager visit the home on November 4th to determine if the basement is currently dry and if there is a problem with moisture coming in from the exterior. The two insurance claims were due to a leak from the kitchen above and from a frozen pipe. The concern was/is that there may be another source of moisture that could be on-going.I have attached the letter sent to [redacted] yesterday. To summarize it, it does appear that there is a problem with the exterior wall near the basement entry door. It is our opinion that the exterior brick needs to be pointed up and the wall needs additional waterproofing before any further interior repairs are made.We are waiting for [redacted]'s response. Once again, we regret any inconvenience that the delay has caused [redacted] and we will make every effort to help resolve this problem in an expeditious manner.Tom P[redacted] - President of Paul Davis Restoration of Suburban MD & Washington DC
