Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2016/03/15) */
We are currently working with the manufacturer and the customer to attempt to switch Mr [redacted] to a different coach.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2016/03/24) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the...

business.)
[redacted]'s invited us back thru Rev rv group to look at possible replacement and was told that we would have several options to look at,I confirmed that we would not be going for just 1 due to it would be a waste of my tome and they confirmed . I also had asked that they would show us some of thier used options in a disel pusher and Once we got there we looked at 1 and the other was at a show 30 miles away and that was all the sales man was authorized to show.which was a complete waste of my time.

Dear Revdex.com,The new 2017 Volante Mr and Mrs [redacted] purchased comes with a one year warranty to cover such things as the microwave oven.  The manufacturer's policy requires  the dealer to facilitate the customer's warranty on behalf of the manufacturer. In the case...

a microwave repair, the manufacturer requires the dealer sublet out the repair to an approved repair facility, which results in lengthy repair times.  However, as a dealer who promotes family's enjoying the great outdoors, we agree with the [redacted]'s that the microwave shouldn't keep them from camping.  We've let the manufacturer know of their displeasure with the whole situation and hope they change their claims and repairs process.  We also informed our Sales Manager, [redacted], to request a check for the $158 to reimburse the [redacted]'s for the microwave they had to purchase.  Our hope is seek repayment through the goodwill of the manufacturer.Respectfully,[redacted]Director of OperationsPaul Evert's RV Country

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2016/03/02) */
We have been able to get the Ford invoice covered by the factory warranty. The manufactirer has been notified of the additional issues and will be on contact with Mr [redacted] to resolve.

Tires were overlooked at time of delivery (they were on the due bill, but serviced did not put them on or tell anyone), So when the customer was in doing the paperwork we ran the unit over to the tire shop and replaced the tires. They were pressed for time after they did the paperwork and were going...

to come back and pick it up later, so we had it out front and the next weekend when they came to pick it up they were complaining that the hitch that was in the unit was missing, Duane opened a compartment and it was in there and missing some parts, so they got upset and left. We called and talked to them and told them that we was sorry for the Hitch missing parts and offered to give them a brand new hitch, but they declined and told me that they just wanted their money back. We told them that all of the paperwork had been processed and that because of there troubles, we would do something that we don’t normally do after all of the paperwork is processed and refund them part of there initial payment, that we did run the unit through the shop, and also paid a technician to walk through the unit with them. Also the tires that we did put on there for them. Last time we talked to them they were happy that they were able to get out of the deal and were ok with the refund that they got back. Customer signed a "NO COOLING OFF" document, but in light of the situation we were flexible to accurate them as much as possible.  No one was trying to take advantage of them of purposely mislead them.  All we want is to be compensated for the expense. Thank you for considering our position,Paul Evert RV Country Management

The [redacted] took delivery of their new 5th wheel on 11/1. After their walkthrough I was informed of one factory deficiency. I met with the [redacted] before they left with the trailer that day and verified that they were correct. I told them that I would need to order the part, which I...

did, and we would arrange for it to be installed after it arrived. I also talked to the customer on 11/3, several times on 11/6, 11/7, 11/18 and 11/21. I contacted this customer immediately upon receiving this complaint on 12/18. I looked through my messages and found that I did miss one message on 12/4. I apologize for missing this one. We don't know who they have called 14 times. This was the first time we've heard of the list of other issues, all of which are factory warranty issues. We offered to have the fifth wheel transported to our main location to have all of the issues repaired. I was told that they were going out of town for the holidays and won't be back until Jan 6. At that time we will resolve all of the issues with the least amount of inconvenience to the customer.     Thank you, Have a great day, [redacted] Paul Evert's Rv Country ###-###-#### [redacted]

At the time the customer took delivery of the motorhome there was a complete orientation done with the customer with a...

technician. Customer was able to inspect the MH before leaving. The issue did not occur until after an extensive trip was taken in the MH by the customer. We cannot forecast that an issue may occur in the future when a MH is purchased. We are always available to assist in any way we can to help with mechanical repairs when they occur. An engine scan is not a part of a PDI inspection. The repairs done when the issue occurred were not performed by [redacted]'s RV but a Ford Shop.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
they do not do there jobs, a cax fax after the fact shows they knew about the issues showing on fax had a problem already in shop, they saw this during title search, and the tech was there to show us how to use stove etc not related to engine. Buyers beware

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/09/21) */
Mr. [redacted] was made aware of the issues with the unit. He then proceeded to let us know he was a mechanic and could fix all remaining issues with the unit. This was after we gave the unit a Pre delivery inspection as well as repairing the...

safety items that were existing. He was notified the RV was in As-Is condition. Upon picking up the RV, Mr [redacted] requested us to put the unit on a lift so he could inspect the unit. We agreed. Again he told us he was a mechanic and could fix any other items.

+Yes I agreaded to fix the air cond. which did not work!
But I made it clear That the coach was to be dot safe with the sales manager.
During my inspection of the under carriage I noticed a brake line by passing, the Air Brake dryer was disconnected , I asked the mechanics during inspection and during delivery about the by pass ** the dryer, They told me that it was a trailer issue !! NOT SO !!
I also found the governator for the air brakes defective, not allowing the air to build up.
I also found a leak in the air system, ( air bag leveler )
next I found the front wheel bearing seals leaking which caused the brakes to pull.
Then I found the exhaust manifold gaskets leaking, ( exhaust gasses in coach ) The manifold had broken 6 boles due to a manifold problem.
This coach was not checked out for delivery.
A dot fraction !!!

Dear Revdex.com,We are well aware of Mr [redacted] concerns.  I spoke to Mr. [redacted] more than a week ago concerning the repairs.  I shared with him that I would need to involve management from Forest River to be able to answer his questions about the repaired damage. [redacted] Markham with Forest River...

did make contact with him after several tries and assured him of Paul Evert's and Forest River's commitment to facilitate his manufacturer's warranty.  I know Mr [redacted] feels no one has returned calls or has stayed in contact with him.  [redacted] our service advisor has been communicating regularly since he dropped his unit off for service.  I personally called and left a message for him on 7-28 and yesterday with Forest River on a conference call.  Both Forest River and Paul Everts stand, ready, willing, and able to address his manufacturer warranty.  I'm confident we'll be able to successfully address his concerns.  His request for a repurchase or replacement of the unit is denied.  We have to work with the  manufacturer to address his warranty concerns.Sincerely,[redacted]Director of OperationsPaul Everts RV Country
