I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
My husband and I were satisfied at the time of repairsAs for the dates of service, I had a less than month old infant and lack of sleep so keeping up with dates was not a priorityMr Jackson never explained that the paint may not adhere to cement or may require future maintenance accept an occasional touch upThe paint on the steps are peeling off completelyHe also resurfaced the steps in which they have cracked and are crumbling apartWe were satisfied and pleased with the work for a total of monthsMy husband and I have attempted to contact MrJackson through text, phone calls, and *** since spring with no communicationI feel we are warrented in our complaints of the work not being quality because our front steps are crumbling apart and began to do so less than a year after work was completedI am dissatisfied with this resolution Thank you

I feel that it is necessary to respond to complaint #[redacted] filed with the Revdex.com from [redacted] about my business due to inconsistencies in regards to the repairs that I made to her home in May 2015.  I was contacted in April 2015 by [redacted] and asked to give an...

estimate on repairs needed to fix the outdoor front entrance steps and the side entrance steps.  Upon meeting with Mrs. [redacted] at her home to evaluate the condition of both sets of outdoor steps, we agreed that I would repaint the steps to the front and side entrance as well as replace both rails for $850.00.  I completed the repairs as requested on May 12, 2015.  [redacted] and her husband, [redacted], were very pleased with the completed work.  In fact, [redacted]  posted his satisfaction publicly on his [redacted] on behalf of himself and [redacted] with pictures of the completed work on May 12, 2015.  In August of 2015, I was contacted by [redacted] with her concern of bubbling paint on one of the steps on the front entrance of the house.  In prompt response, I returned to her home to address her concern and performed minor repairs consisting of sanding down the affected areas and repainted the entire area of stoop (front entrance and side entrance).  I explained to Mrs. [redacted] that concrete surfaces typically are not ideal to paint due the inability of the concrete to adhere to the paint and thus making it difficult to maintain.  I also explained that due to the normal wear and tear of these steps being in a high traffic area entering and exiting the home as well as weather factors it would be necessary to touch up the paint in the future.  I left the remaining gallon of paint that I had used with her so that it could be used for future touch-ups.  Mrs. [redacted] was pleased with the repairs to the previously bubbled paint areas and thanked me for coming back to address her concerns.  She had a full understanding of what future maintenance would be required to maintain the appearance of the paint and did not request advice on alternative options to painting the cement steps to reduce the amount of touch-up maintenance required.  I did not charge any additional money to perform these repairs. With consideration given to the fact that upon both occasions that I performed the work that she requested to her outdoor steps and was given a satisfied response from both Mr. and Mrs. [redacted], then I do not feel that they are justified in their complaint of the work performed and agreed upon between us.  The information that she has listed in her complaint is inconsistent as well with respect to the following:  Mrs. [redacted] listed the Purchase Date as 05/29/2015; however, the work was completed on 05/12/2015.  Additionally, I have received several referrals from Mr. and Mrs. [redacted].  Last, Mrs. [redacted] indicated that there was an issue with quality of work, work ethic, customer satisfaction, and communication; except, the verbal praise in addition to the [redacted] post by [redacted] disputes her claim.  On May 12, 2015, [redacted] posted the following on his [redacted] page:  “Cannot thank Paul Jackson and his crew enough for the work they did on our house.  My wife and I were pleased with his efficient work and how affordable he was.  The weather did not cooperate for several weeks when he was scheduled to come out.  However, Paul kept the lines of communication open and got the job done when the weather fully cooperated.  Looking forward to working with Paul and his crew again in the near future on our next home improvement project.”  I feel that I have made a good faith effort to respond to Mrs. [redacted]’s concerns in a timely manner, and I regret that she is dissatisfied at this time.  After explaining the normal wear and tear that painted outdoor cement steps endure, I would have been more than happy to explore alternative options to painting the steps with Mrs. [redacted] if she had been interested in doing so.  Before and after photos are attached for review.
