We sold this customer a trailer as he says, when he came into the store which we have security camera footage to backup, he paid the trailer off and said he was all set with hooking it up to his truckas the owner passed the customer in the parking lot after the trailer had been connected to his
truck by himself the owner had noticed the chains where not connected properly so he did adjustWe never did check the ball size on the buyers truck as he said he was all set with connecting itNow that the buyer had misjudged the ball size the trailer needs he is putting fault on usThe trailer in big bold letters says the ball size required right on the tongueWe are in no fault of this matter, this customer also has made it a point to badmouth us on every review site possible before making these claims to usIf that had not been done we would have been more inclined to help with the situationThe customer is now trying to take us to court and sue us that he received back and neck pain from this, but as he had been a customer before this we know he has been suffering neck and back pain for over years now and his rehab doctors can attest to this

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]..
Again, this business is not telling the truth.  Their security cameras will show the salesman directing me to the trailer.  It will also show him locking the tongue onto the ball. This business says I am always looking for money or to sue.  If they would check my history, I have never sued a business until this incident.  I have purchased many cars, trucks, motorcycles and trailers.  NEVER had an issue until I started going to this dealer.  I bought a [redacted] Sportster from them and did not have a problem.  I went back to them and bought a 1991 [redacted] from them.  This dealer said the starter, water pump, fuel injectors, clutch, battery, ABS system, passenger window motor were all new.  They were not because I had to fix all this!  Ask them to show the Revdex.com records of all this because I put another $4000 into this vehicle and the Check Engine light still came on.  I found a back yard mechanic that fixed the Check Engine light by plugging the EGR Valve.  The aftermarket mufflers on the [redacted] were too much for the EGR.  After all this why did I go back to MC508?  A dear salesman friend of mine from Cape Cod [redacted] started working for MC508.  I made it very clear the only reason I went back there was because of the salesman.  I was ready to let by gones be by gones and start a new relationship.  I do not care about signs not being posted about attaching trailers.  It is good business sense to make sure the customer is safe.  I could have been seriously injured.  In their last reply MC508 said they tried to make reparations but I elected to sue.  That is another falsehood!  I told them initially to pay me for the exhaust tips ($138.00) and a new receiver ($38.00).  Since then I noticed the left trailer fender was damaged, the tie downs they installed had zero lock washers.  They installed the bike chocks through the frame which the manufacturer does NOT recommend.  It took me a full day to install the bike chocks and tie downs correctly.  Had to fill the frame holes with bolts to keep the frame strength,  A corner of the trailer was leaking water through the floor.  Granted that is under warranty but I will not have them touch this trailer.  They refused which prompted me to sue and contact the Revdex.com.  Please review their [redacted] reply that admitted guilt and said they would be more careful in the future.  I am a 66 year old retired military Nam Vet, and a retired federal employee.  I expect a dealer to thoroughly go over everything prior to driving away.  I repeat, do you buy a new car, get tossed the keys and not go over the amenities or safety features?
Regards,
[redacted]

Again we state that the customer had hooked up the trailer himself and never asked for help. On top of this all if you hook up a trailer onto a smaller ball the trailer will clank every time you brake or accelerate, so The customer would have heard this clank and realized something was wrong. No where in our store does it say we hook trailers up for customers. It is a liability if we did and we dont know who hooked up the hitch and wiring on the vehicle towing so we let the customer do this unless they ask for assistance and this customer never asked for any. We have had issues with this customer in the past and he is one of those guys that is just looking for reasons to get money refunded or to sue on any purchase he makes!

The response is a bold face lie from this business.  If they check the security cameras again they will see their employee was standing there guiding me in to the hook up.  They will also see the employee attached the trailer to my truck.  They also admit to NOT checking which ball size I had on my truck.  Again, it is like throwing the keys to a new car and not going over the amenities.  I have not had back problems for "over 10 years." I was still in physical therapy for two herniated discs.  The re-connecting of the trailer to the truck exacerbated the condition.   The ownership of this dilemma rests soley on MC508.  I could have been killed or seriously injured due to their negligence.  They are only concerned with $$$, not customer safety.  If you ask any trailer dealer they will tell you before they connect, they ensure the ball size is correct.  Please check their [redacted] reply.  You will see they admit guilt!

Again we the dealer state we did not hook the trailer up to the vehicle. the customer stated he was all set. Trailers state what size ball hitch they need on the tongue, Im sorry the customer did not see this when he hooked it up. This matter is being dealt with between our lawyers at this timeThanks
