Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:Paul Wright did nothing to resolve the matter, except to offer to replace two small shrubs for $300.00, which he never did, and if I didn't except that, I would face severe consequences, when it was him that did not follow the contract as written, and protect my home from fallen debris, when he did not put up the tarp as written in the contract Paul Wright installed a new roof for me, but that was not even done right They had to come two weeks later to repair a brand new roof They have refused to pay for the large shrubs they destroyed by the falling shinglesThey refuse to pay for the two gutters they destroyed, the screens, destroyed because the tarp they promised to put up, was notNot once in my life have I ever been defined as crazy, so I would be very interested in seeing Paul Wright's certificate to practice as a medical doctor in the state of Pennsylvania, because there are laws forbidding someone to practice as a physician in this state Paul Wright had plenty of time to correct the problems with the damage from the falling shingles onto my shrubs, damage to two screens, and damage to two gutters by the workmen he hired to do the work, one of which certainly appears that is was deliberate with paint scratched off the gutter for a length of over six feet Why would they need to do that? With all the time that has gone by, if Paul Wright wanted to fix the problems as stated, why hasn't he? I certainly gave him enough time I can tell you why, because he is not telling you the truth, and could care less about the damage to my home.Apparently, I am not the only one who has problems with this company, as they lost their accreditation with the Revdex.com Paul Wright, had I known, should not be able to do any work in the state of Pennsylvania without a legal contract as defined by the laws of the state.Troy L***, and Paul Wright are two bullies, who if they don't get their way, will harass you to death because you are asking for the job to be done in accordance with the contract they provided me Perhaps if I sent the contract they gave to me, and pictures of the destruction of my house from not following their contract to the locale newspapers, and TV, maybe they will wish they had done my job right in the first place

*** *** is crazy! We have been patient, understanding and kind to him to the utmost degree. We have fixed non existent shingle problems to placate him. We offered to replace live plants he says we killed. We offered to replace beautiful gutters because he believes we
bent them. All to no avail. He won't let us touch his home or even on his property. He uses his Vietnam mental issues as his excuse to screw people. He never paid for his roof, I am in the process of suing him. I don't care what his complaint is at this point, the legal system will resolve this one. We have gone above and beyond with this guy - it's just a waste of time

I find this complaint offensive! The job was completed
professionally, as quoted, and all commitments were honored
"> The homeowners were home the entire time the
work was done, the work was reviewed with them as it was being done, and [redacted] even
came up on the roof to see the work in progress. We
checked with them once the work was done and they were happy. Once I
billed them they were all of the sudden surprised at the amount due. They
were home the entire time the work was done - there were no surprises.
They refused to pay for the rotted wood we replaced, but paid for the rest of
the billed work, and we agreed to fight each other in court for the rotted wood
costs $1,565.00. Once they received a letter from my attorney they, all
of the sudden, were very unhappy with the work and now the work is the issue,
not the disputed costs for the wood replacement. I guess every contractor
at some point has to deal with clients that will do anything to keep from
paying - even lying through their teeth to the Revdex.com to try to discredit honest
professionals! I don't know why, but I somehow expected better from these
people. They suckered me into believing their story that they got screwed
by [redacted]'s in getting new roofing and siding only months before they hired
us. They got me to lower my quote by $1,000.00, citing they didn't get
enough money from [redacted]'s to do the job again. I gave them free copper flashing
around their chimneys and new concrete chimney crowns. I even got them an
insulation contractor to blow in insulation, coordinated their work with my
roofing work, installed baffles to keep the insulation from blocking air flow
from the soffits, solved their attic condensation problems, and installed
bathroom vent hoods on their roof - all for free! That wasn't enough for
them though. They enclosed a back patio and hired someone else cheaper
than us to roof it for them - while we were still there installing their
siding! When the roofing was almost done they stole bundles of shingles,
ridge venting and copper before we had a chance to pick them up. They are
now trying to discredit Paul Wright Roofing and me personally by filing
complaints with any agency that will allow them to file. There may have been a bait and switch going
on, but it didn't start with Paul Wright Roofing!

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The bottom line is that I would not have agreed to the work unless it was going to fix the leak completely. Mike sold me on the fact that replacing the vent pipe would fix the leak. With that being said, the conclusion can be drawn that there was simply not enough initial investigation done to identify the exact area that was leaking.  He did not go into the attic and he did not do a water test - therefore you cannot make the assumption that the vent pipe was the source (or partial source) of the leak in the first place. Mike essentially guessed, made promises to the client and was wrong in his assumption. Also, it is an outright lie saying that the problem was not misdiagnosed. Joe admitted it to me. He said Mike should have gone in the attic and more closely inspected the area to identify the true source of the leak. If a little more time and effort was spent on the diagnosis, we could have avoided this all together. The blame falls squarely on Mike for not completely fulfilling his duties and providing an accurate inspection and diagnosis. I was sold on his diagnosis repairing the leak.We were pleased with the work that was done in the spring (and all previous work for that matter!). However, upon yearly inspection of the roof in the spring, there was zero indication that the vent pipe was in such "poor condition" that it could potentially leak.I appreciate the offer of repairing the valley at a discounted rate. However, I am still left with a bill for work that didn't need to be completed to address the immediate concern of repairing the leak. THAT is the issue at hand. All I'm asking is that I receive a full refund for services rendered because the problem was not diagnosed and treated properly.
Regards,
[redacted]

I do not agree with chain of events as described in the complaint.  Mike met with [redacted] and saw that the leak was directly under the vent pipe.  He also saw the sleeve covering the vent pipe was in poor condition and needed to be replaced.  This is the repair he sold him, but at...

no time did he promise that the vent pipe was the only source of water entry, or that replacing the vent sleeve would stop the leak.  It was just the first obvious repair that needed to be done.  When Joe came out to inspect the work he used a hose to soak down the vent pipe area and could not get the roof to leak.  Obviously, the vent sleeve replacement was done correctly and was not the source of the current leak.  That doesn't mean it wasn't leaking before we replaced it.  At no time did Joe say that the vent sleeve replacement did not need to be done or that anyone misdiagnosed the problem!  Once Joe hosed down the roof around the vent sleeve and it didn't leak he made an appointment with [redacted] to come back and water test the valley which is about 3 feet away from the vent pipe.  After hosing down the valley area the roof started leaking.  Joe and [redacted] crawled into the attic and saw that the water ran inside the valley, across the floor and into the hole in the attic floor the vent pipe passes through.  Joe and I discussed the situation, and since [redacted] was a good client and was so upset that he needed more work done, we decided to quote the replacement of the valley at the same price we charged for the valley we replaced in the spring, even though that repair lost money.  Additionally, we would set up the required scaffold for this project at no charge (normally a $500.00 charge).  After discussing our recommendation with [redacted] I was quite frankly expecting a phone call approving the work, not a Revdex.com complaint!  At this point I do not feel I owe him anything.

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Paul Wright Roofing is making false allegations. The dispute over the billing has nothing to do with the fact that their work has not been completed, and that subsequently a piece of siding has come loose from the work they did - they know full well that they were supposed to do all of the siding, in fact Joe, representing Paul Wright Roofing, refused to work on the siding around the front door. The siding that has been improperly installed is evident - you can clearly see the siding piece hanging from the front part of the house (see picture attached to this file).
The accusation of theft is completely erroneous, Paul Wright Roofing removed excess materials at the end of the job - in fact they forgot to take several items and had to come back for them at a later stage. We specifically asked if we could keep any other overage left over and we were granted permission to do so.
Paul Wright Roofing/Paul W. Snellen, knows full well that we discussed at some length that there should be no "hidden costs:, and to this extent that is why it was discussed again when it became apparent that we would need to revise the quote to cover additional materials - the sum of $1950 was agreed to and paid.
Upon payment of the bill, Joe left stating that they would get back in touch with us if necessary - they never did.
All of this could have been resolved amicably had it not been for Paul Wright Roofing's lack of communication and unwillingness to talk.
Regards,
[redacted]

I was disappointed with Paul Wright Roofing. After the roof was replaced I had my gutter repair guy come out to replace some of the gutters that were damaged by a storm. He told me that my gutter warranty was voided (had new gutters installed one year prior to new roof) because of the way the new roof was installed. I reported that to the roofing company...they came out to look at it but still stood by their work without any compensation. They also agreed to give me a break in the price of the roof if I scheduled it the same day as my neighbors across the street...after the work was complete they totally ignored their promise.
There are plenty of roofers in the LV area...use someone else!!

Review: Paul Wright Contracting was hired to perform roofing and siding work. They have not completed the work specified, and some of the installation work has proved to be unsatisfactory - siding was not installed correctly and has come loose.

They have also added additional charges to their invoice over and above what was agreed. They failed to notify us of any issues, and failed to communicate with us.

They have pulled a "bait and switch" with regard to what was originally agreed.Desired Settlement: Paul Wright Roofing should complete all aspects of the work originally agreed to, re-install the front siding correctly so that it fits properly, and adjust the bill to the amount agreed upon.

I doubt that there is any roofer that can be worse then Wrights. First they took advantage of a disabled vet, and elderly vet by selling me the most expensive roof they have, when I didn't need it. The contract was vague, and not all the work was completed. In fact they had to come back and repair a brand new roof that was only two week old, because it was not installed correctly the first time. In the contract it clearly stated they would protect my property and shrubs. They did not do that, in fact they destroyed some of the shrubs that have been planted at my home for 22 years. If you want to same yourself some headaches, and going to court, you should go somewhere else.
