[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Paul Wright Roofing is making allegationsThe dispute over the billing has nothing to do with the fact that their work has not been completed, and that subsequently a piece of siding has come loose from the work they did - they know full well that they were supposed to do all of the siding, in fact Joe, representing Paul Wright Roofing, refused to work on the siding around the front doorThe siding that has been improperly installed is evident - you can clearly see the siding piece hanging from the front part of the house (see picture attached to this file)The accusation of theft is completely erroneous, Paul Wright Roofing removed excess materials at the end of the job - in fact they forgot to take several items and had to come back for them at a later stageWe specifically asked if we could keep any other overage left over and we were granted permission to do soPaul Wright Roofing/Paul WSnellen, knows full well that we discussed at some length that there should be no "hidden costs:, and to this extent that is why it was discussed again when it became apparent that we would need to revise the quote to cover additional materials - the sum of $was agreed to and paidUpon payment of the bill, Joe left stating that they would get back in touch with us if necessary - they never didAll of this could have been resolved amicably had it not been for Paul Wright Roofing's lack of communication and unwillingness to talk Regards, [redacted] ***

I do not agree with chain of events as described in the complaint Mike met with [redacted] and saw that the leak was directly under the vent pipe He also saw the sleeve covering the vent pipe was in poor condition and needed to be replaced This is the repair he sold him, but at no time did he promise that the vent pipe was the only source of water entry, or that replacing the vent sleeve would stop the leak It was just the first obvious repair that needed to be done When Joe came out to inspect the work he used a hose to soak down the vent pipe area and could not get the roof to leak Obviously, the vent sleeve replacement was done correctly and was not the source of the current leak That doesn't mean it wasn't leaking before we replaced it At no time did Joe say that the vent sleeve replacement did not need to be done or that anyone misdiagnosed the problem! Once Joe hosed down the roof around the vent sleeve and it didn't leak he made an appointment with [redacted] to come back and water test the valley which is about feet away from the vent pipe After hosing down the valley area the roof started leaking Joe and [redacted] crawled into the attic and saw that the water ran inside the valley, across the floor and into the hole in the attic floor the vent pipe passes through Joe and I discussed the situation, and since [redacted] was a good client and was so upset that he needed more work done, we decided to quote the replacement of the valley at the same price we charged for the valley we replaced in the spring, even though that repair lost money Additionally, we would set up the required scaffold for this project at no charge (normally a $charge) After discussing our recommendation with [redacted] I was quite frankly expecting a phone call approving the work, not a Revdex.com complaint! At this point I do not feel I owe him anything

I find this complaint offensive! The job was completed professionally, as quoted, and all commitments were honored The homeowners were home the entire time the work was done, the work was reviewed with them as it was being done, and [redacted] even came up on the roof to see the work in progress We checked with them once the work was done and they were happy Once I billed them they were all of the sudden surprised at the amount due They were home the entire time the work was done - there were no surprises They refused to pay for the rotted wood we replaced, but paid for the rest of the billed work, and we agreed to fight each other in court for the rotted wood costs $1, Once they received a letter from my attorney they, all of the sudden, were very unhappy with the work and now the work is the issue, not the disputed costs for the wood replacement I guess every contractor at some point has to deal with clients that will do anything to keep from paying - even lying through their teeth to the Revdex.com to try to discredit honest professionals! I don't know why, but I somehow expected better from these people They suckered me into believing their story that they got screwed by ***'s in getting new roofing and siding only months before they hired us They got me to lower my quote by $1,000.00, citing they didn't get enough money from ***'s to do the job again I gave them free copper flashing around their chimneys and new concrete chimney crowns I even got them an insulation contractor to blow in insulation, coordinated their work with my roofing work, installed baffles to keep the insulation from blocking air flow from the soffits, solved their attic condensation problems, and installed bathroom vent hoods on their roof - all for free! That wasn't enough for them though They enclosed a back patio and hired someone else cheaper than us to roof it for them - while we were still there installing their siding! When the roofing was almost done they stole bundles of shingles, ridge venting and copper before we had a chance to pick them up They are now trying to discredit Paul Wright Roofing and me personally by filing complaints with any agency that will allow them to file There may have been a bait and switch going on, but it didn’t start with Paul Wright Roofing!

I was disappointed with Paul Wright RoofingAfter the roof was replaced I had my gutter repair guy come out to replace some of the gutters that were damaged by a stormHe told me that my gutter warranty was voided (had new gutters installed one year prior to new roof) because of the way the new roof was installedI reported that to the roofing company...they came out to look at it but still stood by their work without any compensationThey also agreed to give me a break in the price of the roof if I scheduled it the same day as my neighbors across the street...after the work was complete they totally ignored their promise There are plenty of roofers in the LV area...use someone else!!
