Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] Please add your rejection comments belowMy initial claim form was submitted to Paul's Moving Service on 5/29/ I put down "wood damaged at the bottom" as the description However, I realized that it wasn't accurate so I submitted a revised claim form on 6/1/ These damages are difficult to describe in words I have sent pictures which served as much better descriptions than words Please get the facts straight I've sent Paul's Moving Service pictures of damages on 6/8/ Those pictures have buitime information in them (they are jpeg files) Also, the pictures show the flooring of the house (in Lexington) where Paul's Moving Service have left the piano which is different than the flooring in [redacted] apartment These pictures show that all the damages to the piano have been done when it was in Lexington They are evidences to prove that these damages were done by Paul’s Moving Service BEFORE any other mover was involved I hired another company to move the piano to [redacted] apartment AFTER I sent Paul’s Moving Service those picture on 6/8/ I keep all emails between Paul’s Moving Service to back my claim Paul’s Moving Service is responsible for all the mentioned damages Only movers out of to unload a piano and letting a piano slide down the ramp is clearly a negligence and not an accident Paul’s Moving Service told us they required four movers to handle a piano I Agreeing to a job that their movers are apparently incapable of performing in order to get a business is a bad and unwise business practice Paul’s Moving Service is responsible for customer’s loss that is caused by such business practice Regards, [redacted] ***

She paid and voluntarily signed the contract no problem, We gave her discountsIt did take longer than expected, as she had more to move than on her listThen the weather, snow and ice was not moved at her new place.(the weather conditions is covered on terms and conditions on our contract) The
only thing that we were not able to move up was the couchThe previous tenants only shoveled a very small path to the back entrance in which the couch was not able to be moved up, so we had to leave it in the back entry wayOnce she cleared a path to the front entrance, we would be able to move the couch through the front entranceSo she had someone else move it for herI would of have done it for her but not for nothing, I would of charged her $which is nothing

. We initially agreed on to hours maximum for the entire load and unload*** came in a weeks before the moving date with his team to evaluate the priceHe agreed it will be no more than hours maximumIt ended up taking him more then hours to do the job which I got charged forI had no choice but to accept to sign the paperwork since I had to evacuate the apartment the same day***'s Moving did not comply with the terms we agreed upon and had me waste half day of my wages on 02/20/He also took his "sweet time" to answer personal calls during the move which delayed the process so he could charge me more timeHe was supposed to bring guys with him and ended up bringing only one guy who was not in a healthy condition that day to do the workI ended up helping them that day and found myself at the at the Emergency Room at *** for back pain the same dayI am entitled to a refund of the extra hours at least for the overcharge plus my $refund for his wrapping pads that are still at my place as of todayThis was the worst chaotic business I've dealt with

There was no negligence on the part of my company relating to this matterThe damage to this customer's piano was accidental and inadvertentThis customer has been given an insurance settlement offer that is more than the minimum amount of coverage the insurance providesThe customer was offered supplemental insurance that would have provided additional coverage for a situation like this but the customer declined that optional insuranceThe insurance settlement offer that has been put in place has been reviewed by my company and by my insurance carrier as to its validity and there is no wrong-doing of any kind here on my company's part

Paul's Moving Service takes responsibility for damages when they occur and our insurance covers these situationsThis customer's piano is covered by our movers cargo insurance at a rate of cents per poundThe customer listed the weight of the piano at lbsOur insurance offers a payout
of cents per pound, or a total of $and Paul is offering to add an additional amount of $as a courtesyThe customer had the option to purchase optional insurance before his move began, which would have provided additional coverage beyond cents per pound but the customer declined the optional insuranceThe customer submitted his insurance claim a few days after the move and claimed only one chip to the bottom edge/corner of the pianoPaul's Moving offered to pay for the cost to repair that chip but the customer declinedThe customer told us that after he submitted his claim he hired another moving company to move the pianoIt was after that move that the customer said there were other damages to the pianoPaul's Moving Service is not responsible for those other damagesWe take every precaution to prevent damage to our customer's belongings but accidents do sometimes happenWe regret any inconvenience this situation may have caused

The customer was charged for hours of labor at $per hour (for a 2-man crew)The initial estimate was for hours of labor at $per hour (for a 3-man crew)That means the amount the customer was charged for labor, $531.25, was actually lower than the amount that was initially estimated ($550.00)The customer was been refunded the $for the furniture pads that were loaned to herThe customer is implying she had back pain because she helped with the moving of her items when in fact the only moving she did was the moving of the small items that she put in her car, and she told me she was planning on moving those items herself from the start anywayShe was complaining of pain during the move, but she made it clear that the pain was from kidney stones, not back painThe customer repeatedly insulted and degraded the movers which was entirely uncalled for because the move, which was actually a very difficult one because of a large number of stairs and adverse weather conditions, was handled efficiently and professionally by the moversThe customer was not overcharged and no refund will be issued
