in to rent a power washer and a nail gun for the weekend from us. We asked her what she needed to complete her projects that she was going to attempt for the weekend. She denied our recommendations on what equipment to use as well as our warning that it was going to rain over the weekend and that no refunds are given due to weather. After agreeing on the conditions we started to load Ms. [redacted]' truck up for her because the equipment was heavy and she said that she couldn't do it by herself. ,..we proceeded to give her instructions on how to use the equipment...we do this whether it is your first time or 50th time renting a piece. She clearly responded that it is "going in one ear and Out the other" and that she has men over there who know how to work the equipment. The equipment is due back Monday morning by 8:30 am for the weekend special. Ms. [redacted] calls at 9:30 and stated that she had a problem with the nail gun, never anything about the power washer. Ms. [redacted] did not rent our compressor to go with the nail gun she used her own ... the only problem with the nail gun was that her air compressor didn't work... there was absolutely nothing wrong with the nail gun. ..but she kept nagging that she didn't get her work done because of the rain ... which we warned her about on Saturday. After returning the nail gun she asked if she could rent the power washer for another day because of the rain she didn't complete her work...we said yes and that it was due back 8:30 Tuesday morning. She agreed. She brought it in about 11:30 Tuesday morning (3 hrs late) and paid her bill ... again I did not charge for the extra 3 hours that it was late. She left saying that we were right and that she probably should have gotten the bigger power washer but she didn't think she could handle it. Several days later she comes in saying that since it rained I should give her a deal or refund her money because it rained. I had clearly gone over our policy before she left on that Saturday and when she returned it late on Tuesday. I'm still not clear on why she is complaining ... she was charged 2 days for the power washer which was agreed upon on Saturday and Monday when she opted to rent it for the extra day. At the time of rental and return not one word was said about the power washer not working properly only that she wanted a "break" due to the weather. We tested the machine when brought back and it worked perfectly! Just because you are not familiar with equipment does not constitute t1free" days or refunds. I have been in business for 25 years and have heard every excuse there is on equipment. We understand that the DIY'ers are out there trying to save money by doing it yourself and not hiring professionals to do the job..but not everyone has the skills to do it. As for the attitude that Ms. [redacted] seems to complain about ... why would you come back if you were so called 'bullied"...I wouldn't return to a place that I was bullied ... so it doesn't really make sense that if you felt like you were not happy with the price, service and attitude why would you return!?!? Yes I remember meeting you outside when you pulled up to complain again/try to get something free out of me and I asked you to leave because there was no more to discuss...and you said that you were certifiably crazy and I laughed...yes that's about the only truth in your fabricated story that you sent to the Revdex.com.  I understand how powerful social media is in the world today. We do make mistakes...not very often...but we do.We would not rent to Ms. [redacted] the last time that she came in because I felt it was not worth the headache of her complaints. She sent her son in out of the same truck...He stated that he had no money on this debit card for a deposit and he stated that he didn't want to rent it for his mother because he didn't want the charges on his debit card...His choice not ours!!!...please...if you weren't happy with us before why did you come back and then send your son in...the only reason you did was because you know that I was right and stood by my word and you had to respect that I was not going to be taken advantage of...We are not refunding your money and we are not obligated to rent anything else to you...the power of social media works both ways so I would expect that this is the end of this conversation. If you're going to tell a story at least tell it right! For the record this was Ms. [redacted] first and only time renting equipment from us although she claims to have been in numerous time though out the year dealing with "disgruntled men".
