Paul's Delivery Service Reviews (4)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[redacted] continues to attest that it was my fathers direction to damage the door and door frame when it was the driver that ignored direction and attempted to deliver the appliance through a stairway that we did not direct him to use. He had attempted to deliver the appliance through the instructed doorway and was not successful. According to [redacted] himself, he states that his drivers are told that if they can not deliver an appliance, they are told to leave the appliance in the driveway or garage. This driver took it upon himself to try this other stairway and then he proceeded to get stuck at the top of the stairs. He then asked my father to assist him in removing door jamb as he was stuck. I am unclear why this driver did not call myself or even [redacted] prior to his poor decision, as he had no problem calling me for directions to the home before delivery. [redacted] also stated that he tells all his drivers to report to him when they encounter problems. To hold my father solely responsible is unprofessional at the least. [redacted] did work with Menards. He did this as Menards was not going to be responsible for the damaged refrigerator that his driver caused. Rather than report it to his insurance, [redacted] paid for a new appliance and he took the damaged one to his home, I assume. Since he technically is employed by Menards, it was in his best interest to satisfy them. I have since had to file a claim on MY homeowners in order to proceed. I have a 1000.00 deductible so I only received 215.00 towards the repair. I also lost one months rent for the apartment as I had to postpone my August renter until September. All the man had to do was fix his drivers damage. I really don't know where to go from here as he will continue to blame my father and I will continue to state that his driver was the professional and never should of let it get to the point it did. That driver also knew that I was the home owner, not my father.
Regards,
[redacted]

Since sending this email, to another consultant within the Revdex.com,  I have purchased and delivered at my own expense a $500 refrigerator and I consider this matter closed.

To whom it may concern …..
This situation has been discussed with her at length. The story that she tells holds true in content except it was her father that removed the door jam and caused damaged to her walls and frame. The father is the one who initiated the removal of the door jam and he put the holes in the wall.  The delivery driver was simply following the directions of the father and attempting to deliver the appliance. Menards has contacted their attorney and have been told to not pay or do anything to help this person. At their suggestion, I too have chosen to stay clear of further interactions with her. I understand her frustrations however, I cannot be held responsible for her father and his actions.

Sincerely,
