I am sorry to hear that Ms*** is having problems with her floorDue to my being out of the store on a medical leave, I was unavailable to see the floor in personThe discoloration of the floor as described by her to our sales staff is most likely due to a chemical reaction of the glue with
the vinyl that she purchasedAs we have to control over what was used to put down the vinyl floor, it is my belief that the installer did not know what he was doing and used the wrong adhesive than what was recommended by the vinyl mill.I looked at her order on cgand see that she did NOT buy any adhesive with her purchaseSince this floor can be installed loose lay or with adhesive, it is not surprising at times to see this but the loose lay method is not preferred by our companyI am sure that since she had her own installer and not one recommended by The Floor Trader, that he used they wrong adhesiveSince we *** Teri's business, I am prepared to do the following under certain conditions that must be met by the customer:We will supply the exact vinyl floor to the customer FREE OF CHARGESInce the floor is now contaminated with a foreign glue, one cannot lay the floor over it with another adhesive otherwise she will have the same problem ariseHence, the floor must be sheeted with a new 1/4" under layment which will prevent any contamination between the glued floor and the new replacement vinylThe cost for this under layment would be $for a 4xsheetThis is a certified under layment guaranteed for flooring useThe number of sheets will have to be determined by a Floor Trader recommended independent installerThe customer must purchase the correct adhesive recommended by the mill for use with their vinylThis would be Taylor and gallon would be: $plus tax.4 For the floor to be done professionally, we would like to see the customer use a professional independent installer which the Floor Trader recommendsThey would give her the best possible installationSince they work direct with the customer, there is no additional markup or cost to their laborThe customer is basically buying wholesale labor direct.Please have the customer contact me directly:Warmest Regards,Dean P***Owner The Floor Trader of TacomaStore: ***Cell: ***

The floor was installed with a water base vinyl floor glue from *** ***I did not receive any disclaimer about a certain type of glue needed to install the vinyl when I purchased itOr any offer to sell me a certain glue to install the floor. If I understand MrP*** proposed offer correctly this is what it will cost me to replace the stained vinyl bathrooms . Cost for new vinyl $0. Cost for new underlayment sheets $100. Cost for glue $Cost for Floor Trader's preferred installer $650. Total cost to me $803. This offer is unacceptable to me because I have already spent $on an inferior vinylPaid $for underlayment and installationTotal spent already $I was told for weeks that someone would be out to view the problem and I could file paperwork to have it replaced. Then without ever seeing the floor I was told it was somehow my problemThis has brought my home remodel to a stand still for weeks trying to resolve this floor issue..
