Recycled asphalt was to dry in 30 days, it is almost 2 months, and it is not dried. Also, there are open spaces in some areas.[redacted] Jr. from Ground Up Asphalt Milling and Grading company came to my house unsolicited and offered to install recycled asphalt in my drive way on Oct 27, 2015. Mr. [redacted] Sr, told me that it will last between 8 to 10 years, I looked on line before agreeing and saw that this should last between 5 to 10 years, therefore I agreed to have them installed the recycled asphalt. They told me it will take 30 days to dry, it is almost 2 months, and it has not dried. In addition, there are some areas where there are open spaces where I can see the terrible job that was done. I paid $8,000.00 with a check. I have been calling the XXX-XXX-XXXX number, and the line has a constant busy, as if it is an non working number.Desired SettlementI want Ground Up Asphalt Milling and Grading to repair the work, or refund $5,000 so that I can have a reputable company complete the repair.Business Response the job we did was asphalt millings which is NOT hot asphalt it works just like cruch and run gravel with out the dust and it last a little long but we don't give any type of guarantee on this material nor does any other paving contractor it states that in big bold letters on our contract so I don't see why we should have a complaint in the first place but as I told you we are here today and going to fix a few small low areas for her at no charge plus with all the bad weather its the first time we have been able to get over this way so I was just letting you know that we have been in business over 50 years with very few complaints and we strive to keep our A plus rating and do what we can to keep our customers happy this matter will be taking care of today and I hope we can get our rating backConsumer Response The owner was here today. He repaired the main area that was damaged. I was not provided with a contract, I only received an invoice, and indeed I was informed that there was no guarantee. However, I did not expect an $8,000.00 job to last less than 2 months. I realize it was a bad decision to get this work done, I could have spent less than $1,000.00 for cruch and run. You may remove this claim, given that the owner was here to repair, even though I am not completely satisfied, I realize that it was a bad decision on my part to get this type of driveway work done.
