We appreciate the opportunity to respond to this consumer complaint.The complaining consumer was declined for a loan in keeping with our policies and procedures In order to preserve the person’s privacy, we are unable to discuss the details of this consumer’s credit history or financial
situation However, in response to the specific claim of advertising: • We did indeed consider the additional information provided regarding education We were unfortunately unable to approve the loan application even after considering such additional information • With regard to the comment that “Pave loans are based on your potential for success not just your credit history and FICO score”, this is correct; we consider other factors in our underwriting decision such as the customer’s income and education. With regard to the proposed settlement, we regret that we remain unable to offer a loan to this consumer at this time That we use a unique underwriting process does not, of course, guarantee that we will be able to approve every application, or that every piece of information contributes positively to an underwriting decision. We trust that this information is sufficient to fully resolve this consumer complaint Thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Unfortunately the response is inadequate, and does not represent the best display of a willingness to provide exceptional customer service. Also, this response was late and well overdue.  I have since moved on to another lender who did not have a problem with my income, education, personal finances (mostly student loans that are in deferment because I'm still a student) or my prospects for the future, thus, treating me like more than just my FICO score. Also, there were other extenuating circumstances that could have been explained, and with better customer relationship management, Pave could have taken the time to get to know me as a customer (prospective or otherwise), and provide the service I would have expected based on the claims on made their website of being a non-traditional lender.
