Review: I signed a contract with Paveco on April 20, 2013, to have my driveway paved. I was told the job would be done on May 20. Because of rain, it was cancelled. I was not given a new date, but was told my depoisit of $1400 would be returned if I requested it. I decided to give it 2 more weeks. When I called on June 24 to ask for my deposit back, the secretary said the owner would call me that evening. I received no call. I left 2 more messages that were not returned. I sent a letter asking for my deposit to be returned; no reply. It is now almost 3 months since I signed the contract and Paveco has neither done the work nor returned my money.Desired Settlement: ./ As Paveco promised, I would like the return of my $1400 deposit.

Review: We made a contract on April 6,2014 for a driveway renovation including cementing the sidewalk and made a deposit of $2,200.00 which was half of the total cost. The check cleared 2 days after. We also submitted the location survey and they also provided us with the Certificate of Liability Insurance from [redacted] We were told that the job will be done on or about 6 weeks. The company started work around the beginning of May just to remove the asphalt. Prior to May we contacted them and wanted to know when they are going to start the job. The company did not even get the work permit until we pushed them to do so. They said due to rain they will not be able to do the job. So now it's June 6,2014 and the driveway is not done. The weather has been sunny for the most part of the week and the initial process to remove the asphalt was all they did. We contacted them with no results. No return phone calls.Desired Settlement: We want to get a full refund of $2,200.00.

Review: I hired Paveco Paving to repave our driveway in the summer of 2012 with a 3-year warranty, which was written on the receipt upon completion. After the 2012-2013 winter, the new driveway began to show a few cracks, and the owner, [redacted], promised to have them fixed. Unfortunately for me, after more than two seasons of phone messages and conversations with [redacted] and his wife, those promises remain promises. Nothing has been done to fix the cracks, which have become larger and longer due to neglect. If you are considering Paveco, please assume the warranty will not be honored and price the job accordingly. Alternatively, withhold a portion of the payment for the duration of the warranty.Desired Settlement: Repair the cracks on the driveway as provided under the warranty.

Review: Owner [redacted] performed work for my family in 2013 (driveway paving and walkway masonry). We gave him a $500 deposit on Dec. 3, 2013 toward work on a backyard patio to be completed in fall 2013 or spring 2014. In the spring of 2014, [redacted] called several times to say he could not get to the job. In April and May, I contacted him/his office/ approximately a dozen times to lock in a date for the work to be completed. He did not return phone calls, but once I caught him on his cell phone and he said he would drop off the money that weekend (in early June). As of July 4, 2014 he has neither performed the job nor returned our deposit. He now does not return our phone calls and we have filed a claim in small claims court. We want our deposit of $500 returned right away. I have a cancelled check dated Dec. 3, 2013 demonstrating that he cashed our deposit check but has not done the work.Desired Settlement: Return $500. in cash asap. I have a cancelled check dated Dec. 3, 2013 that confirmed that he took our money. We want the deposit returned asap.

Review: We contracted with Paveco to lay blacktop on our driveway and to refill topsoil in areas where old driveway was removed. Paveco laid blacktop which within one month has begun to crumble and turn to gravel. There are significant areas in the driveway which are pitted and are beginning to erode. In addition, Paveco had contracted to fill in and lay top soil where needed and has not done so.

We have called Paveco repeatedly, at least 6 times and they will not return the phone calls. We have left messages with a live operator and on voice mail.

The work was completed in early October and we expect, as the cold weather progresses, that the state of the driveway will continue to deteriorate.Desired Settlement: We would like the entire $5,000.00 refunded to us as we cannot trust this company to provide us with satisfactory service and an acceptable driveway. We will find another contractor to do the job properly.
