Pavilion Apartments Homes Reviews (%countItem)

Since I started living here in 2017 it has been miserable. When we moved in the apartment had a lot of issues wrong with it including. Or having a smoke detector which is a life saving issue and also half of the blinds being off while we were women with a child living on the first floor not being able to have privacy. Over half of the outlets didn’t work and it was obvious maintenance didn’t finish fixing the apartment fully before they moved us in. All those issues took about a month to get fixed after numerous complaints via phone, email, maintenance requests, and also corporate complaints. The worse issues were leaks and bathtub issues we had in 2018 all the way to 2020. These issues kept being ignored and fully investigated even though I kept complaining and calling and reporting and I knew if they didn’t fix it water damage could happen (I work with building engineers all the time) and even with me trying to help them help themselves it was like pulling teeth every time I needed help and when maintenance would come things were done half assed or not at all. They would would say they would be back and nothing would happen. Or they would “fix it” and it would break again as soon as they were done. I have sent so many angry emails over this. One time our dryer wasn’t working and it took over a month for someone to come look at it at all and we had to keep spending money at the laundromat a few miles away. The nature of this specific complaint is that we finally got the resources to get out of that hell hole apartment. And they sent us the final move out statement where they kept our $850 deposits as well as are trying to bill us for another $943 dollars. $250 of that was the remaining utilities so I did pay that. But my issue is the billing of the other stuff. They billed us for a kitchen hood filter that was already dented and also dirty when we moved in. They charged us for doors to be fixed that were due to their negligence not fixing issues like the leak in a timely manner and all the humidity expansions the doors had. The only two doors we will take responsibility for is some chipping of the paint on the back of one of the room doors and on the closet door of my sisters room. Everything else door wise is not our fault. They also charged us for refinishing the tub. That tub had a crack that we reported and they got someone out to fix and they didn’t do it properly and at least three times we had to keep calling the apartments to fix it. Which is infuriating because obviously I’m not going to used a cracked tub when I have a child and so want to avoid water damage and had to keep waking up my sister so I could use her showers. The company they hired kept spray painting the shower....how
Is that a fix?? And now they want to charge me to refinish it again after I move out as opposed to replacing the tub for the new tenant on their own dime? Upon leaving we cleaned the apartment and shampooed the carpets on last time. We normally would shampoo every 6 months because we are good tenants and like to take care of stuff. But on move out a leg of furniture got caught on the carpet and we didn’t realize and when we got caught up we pulled too hard and some of the carpet fuzz stuff came up So the carpet has the fibers missing from an area maybe the size of a golf *** they charged us $800+ to replace the carpet. I talked to many of my friends who are landlords and they all said number one first recourse is always to patch it which is super cheap. And if they choose not to patch it and want to replace it it should not be the whole apartment and even if it was the whole apartment they need to provide documents of when the carpet was installed and how long it’s supposed to last and prorate how many years of life it had. Not charge for the whole thing to me. But again first recourse is to patch it and I showed them all the picture and they said there’s no way in hell that can’t be patched. I’m reasonable. I will pay for the work to have it patched which shouldn’t be anymore than $20-100 bucks. I also will pay for the stove drip pans that we couldn’t clean well that needed to be replaced. And if they want to keep the apartment cleaning charge on there even though we cleaned the apartment and shampooed the carpet or them whatever. But they are. It going to tack on all this stuff and literally try to rob us of money when the whole tenancy they were the worst landlords in the history of ever. Literally every time I would complain about stuff it was we are working to improve maintenance or we only have two maintenance guys for all 500 units. Or this or that. And they would take days to respond to emails or not respond at all. It was literally hell. After all I have been through I think I deserve money back frankly.

Moved into my unit July 2019. I've had nothing but problems. My bathrooms have had multiple problems that haven't been addressed in timely manner. Im still being charged for a 2 bath when I don't even have a full functioning 2 bath apartment. The apartment management doesn't reply to my emails and they haven't been in contact or communication. Maintenance comes in tore the walls apart no notes no emails just left it for weeks now. It apartment smells like wet mold and if becoming a health hazard for my children and I.
